10/10+2Booked this last minute having been let down somewhere else. What a lucky find! An intimate local restaurant with a short, very well cooked menu of fish driven Portuguese classics. Well placed for our hotel (The Emerald House) at the west end of the main, late night dining district.

6/10the octopus with sweet potatoes was nice, and so was the camembert with marmelade, as it is not so often we find it in Portugal. The pasteis de bacalhau were, frankly, a huge disappointment, and so were the mushrooms. The place is small, the temperature in the room is high, the door has to remain open and the noise from the street (cobbled stones) is annoying, service was nice but slow... maybe the octopus will be a reson to come back for some, but not for us.

4/10A catastrophic experience. They made me change my choice of plate not one, not two, not three, but four times! Each time I was told after waiting five minutes (!!!) that "the dish I had chosen was no longer available"! The 3rd time, as I was so fed up, I even asked "what do you have left", and what the waiter told me to take happened to also not be available! After 30min in the restaurant, I was still trying to order! It was a Monday, at 8pm. The service is very slow and poorly organized. Some common things in Portugal seem impossible here, such as getting salad on top of the chips that come with a plate... of course I would pay it, but "It's not possible sorry" says the waiter. They don't know where the fish comes from, when you ask the answer is "we don't know" after asking the chef, and waiting 5 more minutes! This is not professional! We had a bad night, I live next door but I will not come back.

8.5/10We had a very nice dinner. The food was excellent with the exception of the Chicken Pica Cau, which was hard and salty. The overall experience was very good: definitely recommended.

10/10Very lovely and cozy place, good variety of food and very well done. It was a pleasure. Even for a vegetarian there are quite a few options so I was really happy to reveal this place.

7.5/10Small portions. Only after the 30% discount I can say the price/quality relation was ok. Sweet potatoes were a little bit uncooked in the middle. In short, it was ok but a little bit expensive if you have to pay without discount and you are the kind of person that eat normal amount of food.

10/10Very tasty food, friendly service and cozy atmosphere! The dishes were perfect for sharing, which was nice because we were a group of 6 and could try a lot of different things. Can definitely recommend to everyone looking for a good portuguese restaurant!

7/10I liked the small plates idea. Service was good and food was decent but nothing really wowed us. Solid place for lunch or dinner but it was a bit far for walking. I guess the area supposedly known for its night life but we did not see too much action. Maybe it was too early.

10/10The food was absolutely amazing! It's very hard to find a place where fried fish is not soaked in oil but the bacalhau and the choco frito that we ordered were just perfect! The service was also on point ???????? I will definitely recommend and I will be back! ????
