10/105-Star Review for Life Restaurant, Rome Absolutely phenomenal dining experience at Life Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional—attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The hospitality made us feel right at home in the heart of Rome. The prawn cocktail appetiser was divine—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. But the real star of the evening was the white truffle carbonara… hands down the most incredible dish I’ve ever had. Rich, creamy, and beautifully aromatic—it completely stole the show. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an unforgettable meal with top-tier service. Will definitely be returning!

10/10We had such a special Christmas dinner at this gem of a restaurant. The food was fresh, innovative and delicious. Highlights were the trio of raw fish appetizer and seared tuna encrusted with pistachios. They adapted the menu well for our GF celiac diners.

5.5/10Not happy. We booked reservation thru the Fork. When we arrived on time at 715, they had our reservation, but we were told they had no seating in the dining room so we would be seated outside across the street. The plastic had an opening right next to our table and one whole side was uncovered. Wind blowing and 45 degrees. Folks walking thru on the public sidewalk trying to sell us flowers and other goods, during what was supposed to be a “high end” dinner. At the end, the waiter asked us if we wanted to add a tip. Very unhappy. Most of our food was cold.

6.5/10The most expensive restaurant we dined at in Rome. Food was just okay- we felt we were pressured to add fresh black truffles on everything (for an up charge). At times felt very rushed, while other times server was non-existent. Our bread was delivered to the wrong table, but we weren’t charged. They did give limoncello at end. The only restaurant that had tipping associated with paying the bill. Overall, felt more like an American restaurant in terms of mid quality, high cost, requested tipping.

After we were seated, it took almost 15 minutes before we were given a menu. And they forgot about the bread even though we asked 2 times. The prawn cocktail was presented well but disappointing as only 4 prawns were given and way too much salad. The lobster fettucine was good though

The food and wine were very good. We were a bit disappointed that they had no wild mushrooms and we were looking forward to that. We also ordered grilled baby squid And they were out of that also. We ordered other dishes and they were delicious!

I recently enjoyed the beef fillet with truffles at Life - Ristorante del Tartufo in Rome, and it was extraordinary. The fillet was perfectly cooked and melt-in-your-mouth tender, with the truffles adding a rich, luxurious flavor. The cozy ambiance and attentive service made the dining experience even more memorable. Highly recommend this place for a special meal in Rome!

Our server, Francesco was so kind and helpful with our selections and brought the beautiful truffles and mushrooms to our table for us to see and smell. And of course, compliments to the chefs!

10/10What a wonderful find in Rome…food is excellent. Service is excellent…so friendly and warm. Our server Viktoria was exceptional. We liked it so much, we went back a second time during our four-night stay in Rome. I’m sure we’ll be back next time we’re here. ❤️

4.5/10Very overpriced. The dishes were okay but did not justify such pricing. Bread was charged on top of the cover charge and was bad. On top of that, we were pressured to add a tip at the end of an already overpriced dinner. Won’t be coming back and won’t recommend.

Non è nostra abitudine di chiedere la mancia ai clienti e ci dispiace se lei ha avuto questa impressione. Il nostro cestino di pane ( al costo di € 4,00) comprende pane integrale, pane 8 cereali, focaccia e grissini, tutti fatti in casa. Un cordiale saluto

7.5/10this was my third time at this restaurant. We always order the truffle tasting menu. The menu and the wine pairing is very good. This time around. We had too many people looking after our table and some of them seem to be new and not well trained so our experience was less than ideal.

+3If you love truffle, this is definitely a restaurant worth experiencing! We ordered the tasting menu for 110 Euro each which included three dishes and dessert. Each dish was covered in trouble, minus the desert. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted divine! For dessert, I had the Amalfi lemon sorbet, and it is exactly The same sorbet they serve in Positano and the Amalfi Coast. There was a mix-up on the bill and we had to ask the waiters to remove several desserts. They also charge a hefty service fee per person, and will also ask you to tip.
