5/10I am skeptical of bad reviews because sometimes anger outweighs reality. I am giving this restaurant a review because the food was simply sub par, despite a few recommendations. For starters, the by -the -glass wine selection was poor. Only a couple of wines (sweet and chardonnay) were offered and the waiter did nothing to solve the problem. Our food did not match its description. My risotto wasn’t fully cooked and our garden salad consisted of grocery caliper mixed greens and shaved carrots. The veal chop was bland and a bit under cooked. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. Sorry.

10/10What a terrific find - we got into Milan and having missed lunch we were looking forward to a nice dinner. Well our expectations were surpassed! Though we were on the early side for dinner in Milan we were greeted warmly and had excellent service all night. The food had some typical Milanese dishes that were very well done - did not feel touristy at all - very pretty restaurant. Special thank you to Abdul for a memorable and delicious dinner.

5.5/10Everything we ordered had absolutely no taste to it. Terribly cooked 2 types of fish. Waiter was without manners, frivolous with his hands around myself and my son. Disrespectful at times with his comments. I will tell hotel concierge to omit referring this restaurant to others.

10/10Our first meal in Milan - could not have been better!! Fantastico!! We had the best meal, potions were perfect in size, not too big so we could enjoy primi and secondi and still have a little room for their ice cream trolley!! A piramid of homemade delicious gelato with also rye of lovely toppings!! Staff were so friendly- we will definitely go back next time! Pretty lights in foliage on the ceiling of the conservatory made it very special too! Teenagers lived it equally as well!

9.5/10We had an excellent meal at Locanda with exceptional service. We had ordered sparkling water to start and when the waiter opened the bottle it was barely bubbling and he insisted that he replace it. When the sommelier opened the wine we had a similar experience he sniffed at the cork then lifter the opened bottle to his nose and said excuse me I must replace this. The waiter also warned us against over ordering as we were going to order some sides with our 2nd dishes and he assured us that with what we had ordered they were not necessary. We started with their seafood plateau which was excellent and generous but to an American was a surprise because in the US while oysters and clams will be served raw shrimp and langoustines will be cooked and served chilled here they were raw. I had an excellent pork chop, my wife the fish of the day, our son the pasta special with Caviar and his fiancee the beef cheeks. All were superb. The desserts Tiramisu, Gelato, were also exceptional

Fantastic dinner for a special occasion. Lovely food, nice wine, friendly and helpful staff, and all in the fabulous ambience of the conservatory decked in lights and greenary. Thank you to the thoughtful staff that made our visit so special. Note, the conservatory is not open throughout the year so it is worth checking if that is crucial to the occasion.

4/10Out of your expectation. As we see on pictures ,the decoration is fancy and good.However, the food tasted very simple and the service was just fine. I believe that we were paid enough for the bill but the waiter to confirm us the payment like “only just this’.When we were leaving that waiter wasn’t say anything or even a smile. We were disappointing.We can’t recommend to my friends .

6/10I had booked weeks ago, they gave us a table at the remote part of the restaurant and did not bother to change our seating even after we asked. Food mediocre. Expected a much more attentive service for New Year’s Eve, but nothing special, just an ordinary meal.

4/10DO NOT COME HERE. Where do I begin$1 I wish I read all the reviews more carefully and sifted out the fake ones. It was booked for a special occasion that was ultimately ruined by several factors. * RUDE STAFF: they were incredibly pushy with their insistence we buy a bottle of 70-80€ wine. We tried it - didn’t like it and decided to just get cocktails (we have ordered wine in every single restaurant we dined at in Italy - so this says a lot). Once we decided against the wine, the IMMEDIATE demeanor of the staff changed. They stopped checking in on us. Meanwhile, they hugged, laughed and sat next to tables that ordered and ordered bottles of their overpriced wine. * AWFUL SERVICE: can you imagine a so called established restaurant not knowing how to pace the food and sending out 4 out of 6 entrees so far apart from the last 2 that the first 4 people finished their dinner before 2 of us even GOT our dinners. * SUBBAR/EXPENSIVE FOOD: we ordered a zuppa w mussels and 50% of the mussels were closed. We are easy going people, and for a restaurant to anger us THIS much should tell you what you need to know. Oh and it is a major tourist trap. While I’m American, the fact that the entire restaurant was speaking English, was a major red flag. If Italians don’t want to eat here, neither should you. And I did speak with the restaurant manager who offered nothing more than a small apology
