9/10Beautiful restaurant and outstanding service. The menu is unique which is hard to find in Umbria. We’ve been twice and both times all dishes were just a little too salty. Everything would be perfection if a little less salt was used. Otherwise fantastic!

4/10Please do not take into account older reviews and the fact that it is included in the Michelin guide. This was the previous chef, who is gone now for a couple of months so the food is not at Michelin level anymore. The current chef tries to copy/paste the dishes but sadly not that good.

4/10We had great expectations when we reserved for this restaurant but were sadly disappointed. The food is ok but not surprising, Wine was alright. Table ware was simple and service not consequent varying from very polite to ignorant.

9.5/10This was our third dining experience with Locanda Petreja. We first discovered them when house hunting in Umbria. We stayed at the Borgo and enjoyed two meals at the top notch restaurant. The only disappointment we had this time was not being able to get the Goose. We thought it was served Christmas Eve. However, the menu of fish was delectable and we enjoyed every bite. The chef is amazing and gracious. We now live 15 minutes away and will make it one of our special treats.

8.5/10The food was very good but the seafood risotto was too fishy. And the service was much slower. We waited 30-40 minutes for our cheese plate after finishing our main meal. The timing on our first visit was much more appropriate and balanced.

10/10The entire experience was very positive and it was refreshing to have the option for a vegetarian tasting menu! The wine list was very impressive and the service was over the top!

5/10As an enthusiastic foody I was looking forward to my visit, unfortunately whilst the setting was lovely, the fact that there were two Celiacs in the party appeared not to have been taken into consideration. We always warn restaurants and I would expected the chef to have prepared some gf alternatives. As it was a large portion of the menu was unavailable to us. In addition I’m afraid that some of the flavour combinations were unexciting, the trout starter was bland, Lastly smoking seems to be permitted in this (outside) venue, all in all disappointing.

Dear Deborah, we are very sorry you had this perception of standard. Many guests report allergies and intolerances and we are always ready to meet all needs. Most courses of the menu can be consumed by celiacs, there are courses dedicated to celiacs and our staff is always open to requests or changes. Unfortunately in italy it is not forbidden to smoke in open places but I will take into consideration the report to be able to give everyone the right comfort. Regards Oliver Glowig

10/10Excellent in every way, would love to come back here again during our next holiday in Italy. Food is excellent and the atmosphere of the terrace is superb. Congratulations to all of you!

10/10Our meal was amazing. Not just a meal but an experience of taste, texture and surprise. Each course held a treasure to be explored and savoured. You will not easily forget this taste extravaganza.

9.5/10A very welcome surprise. Very good food with innovative twist and well presented. Good wine list with many different local wines: just sorry to see no wines from the Cantine ADANTI or LUNGAROTTI in the list. Kind and attentive staff. We definitely will be back!
