We were disappointed, returning here after a couple of years, maybe there's a new chef? The food used to be excellent, now it's just ok, a real shame.

Beautiful restaurant and outstanding service. The menu is unique which is hard to find in Umbria. We’ve been twice and both times all dishes were just a little too salty. Everything would be perfection if a little less salt was used. Otherwise fantastic!

Please do not take into account older reviews and the fact that it is included in the Michelin guide. This was the previous chef, who is gone now for a couple of months so the food is not at Michelin level anymore. The current chef tries to copy/paste the dishes but sadly not that good.

We had great expectations when we reserved for this restaurant but were sadly disappointed. The food is ok but not surprising, Wine was alright. Table ware was simple and service not consequent varying from very polite to ignorant.

This was our third dining experience with Locanda Petreja. We first discovered them when house hunting in Umbria. We stayed at the Borgo and enjoyed two meals at the top notch restaurant. The only disappointment we had this time was not being able to get the Goose. We thought it was served Christmas Eve. However, the menu of fish was delectable and we enjoyed every bite. The chef is amazing and gracious. We now live 15 minutes away and will make it one of our special treats.

The food was very good but the seafood risotto was too fishy. And the service was much slower. We waited 30-40 minutes for our cheese plate after finishing our main meal. The timing on our first visit was much more appropriate and balanced.

The entire experience was very positive and it was refreshing to have the option for a vegetarian tasting menu! The wine list was very impressive and the service was over the top!

A very welcome surprise. Very good food with innovative twist and well presented. Good wine list with many different local wines: just sorry to see no wines from the Cantine ADANTI or LUNGAROTTI in the list. Kind and attentive staff. We definitely will be back!
