10/10A true 10 out of 10 experience (that even manages to break through that rating). A lovely atmosphere, provided by a very attentious staff and head of the room, topped off with an extraordinary meal, from the starters right up until the coffee to round it out. Will come back soon, most definitely!

10/10it is an amazing place with beautiful decor and professional staff. i can tell there's good taste by manager because the place is beautiful and made from old fish market. the food is very good. i don't recomend taking the car. hard to park around. good parking area 6 minutes walking.

7/10The food was as good as always, but the service was a little off. But the worst part of the experience was how they have changed the set up of the restaurant. The former main dining which was of a beautiful design esthetic is now only functional for private events. Diners eat upstairs in a less than appealing space that seems like a high class cafeteria. The restaurant has definitely lost part of what made it special, its beautiful decor and ambience. Also, they have taken the whole fresh fish off the menu. Ironic for a place that used to be a fish market back in the day.

10/10Outstanding food. Seafood rice was exquisite! Cocktail menu was tailored to something more to my taste and thoroughly enjoyed. Best restaurant we found in Cascais by far. Such wonderful people there too. Location. Views. Decor. Wonderful.

9.5/10We really enjoyed the new layout with lunch on the first floor with the big windows and lots of light on this sunny day. The covert plus presunto and pate are great. But with large portions on the mains there’s no way we could manage entradas too!

10/10This restaurant is wonderful! The staff are very nice and attentive and the food is superb. We have been here 3 times and it’s been great every visit. I highly recommend this restaurant and bar. I hope that they remain exactly as they are and do not change a thing.

4.5/10Expecting to receive the apperitif before the food was my request, surprised i got all at same time. Send the food back and 15 minutes later got the same re-heated on my table. The food was average, but extremely disapointed with ceviche. I`m available to directely discussed with some one from the restaurant that may be interested in listen or talk to a disapointed client.

10/10I visit the first floor ( meat ) with my wife and the service was really nice. Well presented by the waitress, supported by a good knowledge of the menu. The food was really good and some of the options was aligned with the restaurant concept.

8/10I did not appreciate that a tip of 8% was included on the bill. Albeit voluntary, this is not custom for Portugal in general and the service staff told me it was a “new rule” which I very much doubt. It will for sure trick foreign visitors to tip whether they want to or not. This was by far one of the most expensive restaurants I’ve been to lately and I was truly upset of this cheeky way of requesting tip. Therefore I did not tip at all despite always tipping elsewhere depending on my experience. Don’t act pretentious and entitled, is doesn’t become anyone and it certainly is not representative of the Portuguese lifestyle and outlook at all. I also believe it is disloyal to other restaurants to do this.

9/10I have been to Lots da Esquina four times and each time it seems to get better. The food was delicious and the service was the best I have received. Also, perhaps people have complained because the music was not so loud as before. You could actually carry on a conversation. I did, however, feel that the portions seemed a little smaller than in the past.

10/10Excellent fish and seafood served by attentive and professional front house team. The tiger prawns were among the best I’ve had in a long time, and the grilled sole was fresh and moist with a lovely grilled flavour. The ambience is classy but relaxed - just a pity that being so close to the beach it doesn’t have a sea view. Will definitely be back.

10/10Lota da Esquina located ground central in Cascais Village across from the Hotel Baia is a new dining establishment that only opened about 6 months. The multi-level establishment has a very upscale, cozy, eclectic vibe. The property was originally used as the Cascais seafood auction house for many years and has now been totally renovated to the highest modern standard. The staff is attentive and gracious. Of course, most of us go to restaurants for the quality of the food and I assure you that the meal we had was outstanding. The wine list is extensive but also lists many decently priced offerings. Lota da Esquina has an extensive list of fabulous cocktails made by a very knowledgeable bar staff. Lota da Esquina has gotten over its opening infancy foibles and has settled down as a great choice for a wonderful Cascais dining experience. Highly Recommended.

8/10Great new restaurant in Cascais, trendy and nice atmosphere, very good cooking. The only bemol for us was that it was very cold inside with fresh air entering every time people were getting in.

9/10This was the second visit to Lota da Esquina and I must say I enjoyed it more than the first visit. The food is really quite good, I had the shrimp curry and it was delicious. They still need to work on their service. It's good but not to the level you'd expect from a restaurant like that. When we asked about some of the daily dishes, the waitress had to go back to the kitchen to check. There are things that should be reviewed with the waitstaff at the start of the evening, and written down if one has a bad memory. As for the ambiance, it is like eating in a club. The music can be quite loud. Yes it creates a hip vibe, but I suspect for older diners who can afford their prices, it might be a bit much.

10/10We were very impressed with the staff, the food and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. We ordered a starter that we didn't like and they changed it right away, no fuss. When the new extension of the restaurant opens in December, we are looking forward to eating there too. This restaurant is top notch and I am sure they will do well in Cascais

7/10Extremely high music levels and the echo of other conversations made it impossible to chat in comfort. Menu or server needs to be more detailed...how large are the starters? What is the couvert pate? The flatware and glassware are beautiful and the space is intriguing.
