We started with the scialatielli with seafood. We had had this dish a few days earlier in Amalfi where it was sublime. Sadly, Lounge Bar Tasso's version was no where near as good. Not bad, but certainly not a dish I'd order again. Next we had a fish filet that came covered with a mystery sauce. This dish was pretty good, but not good enough to bump Lounge Bar Tasso's overall rating beyond 3 stars. There are many better alternatives in Sorrento.

A hidden gem. Wonderful food which was way better than one would expect judging from the cheap cafe ambiance, bright neon lights and Formica tables. The sea bass carpaccio was worthy of the best gourmet restaurant, beautifully presented with perfectly ripe berries and a gorgeous dressing The prawns too came with a wonderful orange mayonnaise

This place is great! The staff were super friendly and provided excellent service! The food was delicious! We had the bruschetta as a starter and then Lobster Paccheri and Spaghetti Bolognese for our mains. Everything was well-prepared and tasty. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente! This little restaurant is located just off the main shopping area and it was fun to have dinner and people-watch. Highly recommended!

Cheap for Sorrento but the food wasn’t great. Carbonara was really tasteless and calamari delicious but portion may be more. How it eat the fried pasta? It must be local thing.

Can only say good things about this restaurant. Since the beginning that we everyone was very nice. The food was amazing, our congratulations to the chef. We were supposed to return the next day but unfortunately we didn’t manage to go. For the first and only experience in the Lounge Bar Tasso, it was really really good! Thank you!

Great food (pasta with seafood). However, it took more than 25min for our order to be served. I'm sure this can be improved, even if the kitchen is small and there is only one waiter. Nice soft music, not loud, made our stay enjoyable.

Rather unassuming from the outside - a cafe bar with a takeaway counter and basic decor. But the food was excellent and we would definitely recommend giving it a go. We had beef carpaccio and bruschetta, followed by two pasta dishes - one with lobster and the other with mussels. With three glasses of wine in total the bill was 60 euro plus tip. Excellent value with the 50 per cent off.

Everything was great - the best food in Sorrento! No stress, no haste, you can sit there the whole evening, enjoy wine or cocktails and the most delicious food. Everything that we took was amazing. The only note is you may wait for your food a little bit longer - take it into consideration if you are very hungry from the start. Overall great experience and we went there more than once during our stay in Sorrento. Highly recommend!

After trying 3 nights of various restaurants in town at Sorrento, we stumbled onto this bar for an espresso and come to find they have amazing food. We tried their dinner menu tonight and it was absolutely amazing! This is the best dinner we’ve had since arriving to Sorrento. We loved the food and Joel and Ryan’s service was great!

Highly recommend. We had an amazing meal at Tasso. The food was delicious, the service absolutely top notch, attentive and friendly. The pastas, steaks, salads, drinks and desserts were as good as any we have had in our two weeks in Italy, from Rome to Lake Como to Florence and Sorrento. Family friendly, fantastic quality and a great value. We could not have been more pleased.

Our waiter Joel, great young lad, he could not do enough to please, without being over attentive. The pasta was wonderful!!!!! Great chef, great owner, very personable, we shared a complimentary limoncello with them before leaving, perfect ending to the night!!! Bellissimo!!!
