3/10I don't understand how they received a Michelin star. The food was mediocre and service was terrible. The waitress were arguing in front of us. The waitress also had string bracelets that touched the bread 3x, didn't change it. Unsanitary.

5/10Definitely nowhere close to Michelin quality food. I asked for a medium steak and it was barely cooked. No wine / drinks list was provided until I asked. Just seemed like lackadaisical service and very mediocre food.

2/10Extremely poor quality cooking for a Michelin star restaurant in fact the worst I have experienced. The staff are poorly trained and unwelcoming. Avoid.

9.5/10Excellent food in a city with plenty of excellent food. The merluza (hake) and suckling pig were outstanding. Service was excellent, but they were under-staffed, so the two women tried their best but the service was erratic. Ambience special in every way.

7.5/10This was a last minute pick whilst travelling through Madrid. I was pleased to find a table. Many others were available despite the central location and the below could explain why. I only had two dishes so it could be that I was unlucky. The squid I had was tasty and well prepard but close to what is commonly served in Madrid (vs a distinctive Michelin star version). As to my beef cheek, I was disappointed as it was below average. The quality of the meat was below expectations (nerves and cooked like a meaball rather than the delicate meat that falls off with your fork). The curry sauce was not particularly distinctive. I had had the same dish two weeks before in a restaurant in London (Not Michelin guide) and there was no comparison. Worth noting there was nothing for vegetarians on the menu (safe for desserts and cheese). Fortunately, they were able to serve my guest a nice gazpacho and a potato dish. I sincerely hope I am an exception and that it was just two unfortunate choices.

8/10I cannot give 5 star for the food because there is no contrast in taste for the different courses notwithstanding all courses taste great. A Michelin star chef should know how to contrast taste, making good tasting food is only one aspect of a great chef. Restaurant seems understaffed.

9.5/10The staff was on point with the timing of serving the next dish, the food itself was a great mixture of the sea and land that showed the delight of Galicia

8.5/10I will rate Luxa as 3 star as for the food itself. Service and other details still have space to improve as a Michelin recommended restaurant . But It is not important to me as long as the food is great!

6.5/10I genuinly enjoyed the food. In terms of quality it met the expectation for a 1 star restaurant. Presentation of some dishes could be a little bit better. Service however was not on the level needed (and expected). Firstly the staff spoke English quite poorly. They were not very particularly friendly and inviting upon our arrival. Brought me sparkling water instead of still water. We got two glasses of Cava as aperitif. The bottle went empty as they were pouring my glass, so I got about 2/3 of the amount they already poured in the glass for the other guest. However, instead of opening another bottle and topping up my glass, they just left it like that. They has only a la carte menu in English, but did not offer us degustation menu (which we wanted). We had to specially ask for it. Overall they were not very attentive. Once the menu started the service eventually got better and there were no more problems, but that did not quite make up for the very sloppy and awkward beginning, which is a shame. For the food itself though I wouldn't mind to come back. Definitely very nice and pricing was very reasonable for 1 star in Spain.

10/10First dishes are excellent. Main dishes are good but not duperb. The wines are good and in a reasonable price, but not exceptional. Vegetarian friendly The waiters offer good bread, however, for us it was too many times and we got full before the main dishes. All in all a great experience.

8.5/10Very nice food experience in the heart of Madrid, one of senses was very happy yesterday while trying the food from chief of Lua. Combinations, texture, taste all were so so good, that I’m still not willing eat anything else.

10/10Both the presentation and flavors of dishes were excellent, particularly the tomato tartare and foie gras. The specialty dessert, a tarta with a liquid center, was also a standout. The wine selection was good and the service friendly and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here.

7.5/10The food was good but very basic. We had the tasting menu and all tasted fine, but both of the main dishes were very simple with no finesse or innovation. The service was quite poor, wine arrived after the food, no follow up with regards to drinks during the meal, in fact the restaurant seemed somewhat understaffed. In our view it did not deserve a Michelin star, but maybe a bib Gourmand would be more correct

9.5/10Have been coming here on and off for over 15 years and the food experience has consistently improved. Tasting menu tasty and varied - all with hints of Galicia. I took the menu with the wine tasting option. Again mainly Galician and mainly white. All the wines individually good, although as with other tasting options, I’m not sure that the rating actually worked that well. Rather than contrasting or emphasising elements of the food, they just were. Shame. But overall a great experience and in the context, good value for money. Highly recommended.

2.5/10Really disappointed, the service was really slow, they poured the full wine glass without letting me taste it, all dishes were HUGE, and not delicate or well thought out, definitely not well balanced, it was not at all michelin quality, shocked at the michelin star, they don't deserve it
