We had high expectations of Lucas & Chris which is always a bad idea, but our dining experience exceeded our expectations. We shared the artichoke appetizer. Simply fantastic. For our entrees we orders the lobster linguine, risotto and a veal chop. All three entrees were delicious. Highly recommend.

Food was good, though the octopus was a bit salty and chewy. The pork, fish and beef were really good. The server was very nice but I think she was overburdened the night we were there as she was alone serving the whole room. I think in any other normal night, we would have had a better experience. So yes, I would still recommend this place.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. However, we would like to clarify a few things. Contrary to what you mentioned, our server was not overwhelmed that evening. She had to come to your table several times to fulfill multiple successive requests (ice cubes, then something else shortly after, etc.). Please understand that you were not the only guests in the restaurant, and quality service also means attending to all tables. We would also like to point out that having one server for 20 guests is perfectly adequate in our establishment. If you are looking for a more personalized service, perhaps a fine dining restaurant would better suit your expectations. Lastly, a quick note on manners: a simple “hello” and “goodbye” would have been appreciated, as unfortunately, that was not the case during your visit. We still wish you a good day.

Food, food and again food. Every dish was amazing. We tried roasted bone marrow, steak and risotto. Outstanding. Restaurant is simply decorated and small but the service is good and personable. Good selection of drinks. The food is top notch.

Food was delicious. Chef was very friendly and nice. However, the waitress was very impatient and non-responsive to Asian customers. The chef told us that one of the desserts was free because the chocolate dessert was failed, but the waitress said no and insist to charge us despite our explanations.

First of all, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry about the dessert that was charged, even though I had told you it would be offered. This was a misunderstanding due to a lack of communication with the staff member in the dining room, who was not informed. I also offered you a refund via bank transfer the very next day by email. However, I cannot accept the accusation that our waitress displayed discriminatory behavior toward people of Asian descent. This is a serious and unfounded allegation. This young woman is currently learning English, and it is very likely that there was a misunderstanding between you and the staff at that time. Using the word “racism” in this context is not only unjustified, but extremely serious. We welcome many guests from Asia every year and have always had excellent relationships with them — we have never experienced a situation like this. Beef was delicious. Fish was a bit cold but delicious. Service was a bit chaotic, one server for 12 tables. Definitely gourmet, recommend shrimp appetizer and filet.

Even though the restaurant is full, the lady service staff was full of energy and attended to all guest in a very composed manner. We took the set menu and the food was great. Portion was just sufficient and taste delicious. Chef Lucas was very gracious is helping us to get a taxi back to our hotel. The restaurant is not within the tourist area but it is worth visiting if you want to have good food and dining experience.

What a fabulous night we had at Lucas & Chris. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming. The service was impeccable and the food was just stunning. It is slightly away from the tourist area and to be fair from the outside doesn’t look that great. But don’t let that put you off, once inside you are in a lovely little restaurant of the highest quality. If you want the perfect evening with perfect food served by great people look no further.

Nice find off the beaten track, but still within walking distance to the city center and major hotels. Very good speaking server, who was extremely friendly and attentive. We had roasted pumpkin with burrata and the perfect egg as starters. Delicious. Main course where pike on sauerkraut and prawns with risotto. Perfect!!! We will definitely return if in town

Bonjour , le restaurant est dans une ambiance décontractée si vous souhaitez quelques chose de plus coincé aller plutôt manger dans un restaurant étoilé de plus vous êtes le seul client sur les 300 que nous faisons par semaines à trouver nos plats trop salé vous avez certainement le palet flinguer par les 12 clopes que vous êtes sorti fumer. Merci de vous diriger vers un restaurant à hauteur de vos moyens car nos prix sont tout à fait adapter à la nourriture que nous proposons 100% maison . Mais du coup pour l’ambiance chic dur dur d’aller dans un étoilé si vous trouver nos plats déjà cher ….. Peut être un Mac do gastronomique ? Bonne continuation et j’espère à jamais .

The place is super cozy and warm. The service was really friendly and attentive. The pumpkin soup was exceptionally good. Ordered the grilled shrimps with risotto and I can say it was flawless. Highly recommend

The food is really very good, although not perfect. Some dishes were served on burning hot plates requiring some care not to get burned. Another plate was not very hot, and neither was the food. Also, I found the ceviche a bit bland. The concept of having a window of 1,5 hours to have your dinner is interesting, but we prefer to be free to leave when we're ready ourselves. 1,5 hours feels rushed, in fact we didn't have desert because of this. I realise the old concept of one service per table inevitable raises the price, and indeed this is a restaurant of a high standard with a reasonable price: wine aside we spent 50€ pp. for entry+main dish. Open wines are not expensive (6-8€) and there is a good choice. Staff is very competent and pleasant.

Nous sommes désolé pour la chaleur de l’assiette concerné certainement une erreur…..pour ce qui est des 1,5 heure c’est thefork qui l’indique mais nous ne mettons personnes dehors car nous ne faisons qu’un service le midi comme le soir , vous auriez pu sans problème prendre un dessert . J’espère vous revoir à notre table pour cette fois ci un menu entrée plats dessert sans limite horaire . À Bientôt Lucas et Chris

Humble, yet cosy and stylish ambiente. Friendly, swift and prompt service. All the dishes ordered were beyond our expectations; everything was top-notch: from the mouth-watering optics on a plate till the exceptional taste on palate. Local Riesling from Domane du Windmuehl beautifly accompained our fascinating gastronomic journey. Kudos to the talented team for the little magic they've created!

It was our first time in the Alsace Region and I found this little gem online before we left on our trip! This was one of our favorite dining experiences on our trip! The food was phenomenal and the service was top notch! Chef Luke came out to greet us and our waiter even recommended some fun local places to go in the area. I would definitely recommend everything about this restaurant. Thank you for the fabulous experience!

From the reviews I had read my expectations were high. It was very average. Steak was cooked really well. But served with soggy homemade crisps which were all stuck together. Tiny side serving of nüsslisalad. Bread served but table was so small it was put like an afterthought on the shelf beside us. Dessert was an overcooked puddle of chocolate soufflé which looked unappealing and was so dry it was inedible after the tiny serving of quickly melted icecream was gone. Service was pleasant but restaurant is overrated. Unpleasant surprise.

Super ! Les chips sont maison et sont parfaitement cuites mais vous devez certainement avoir l'habitude des chips industrielles de marque LAYS , le dessert est un travail de texture avec un chocolat Valrhona de qualité mais une fois de plus vous devez avoir l'habitude de manger des desserts industriels...... dommage de s'y connaître tellement peu en bonne cuisine , pour la taille de la table ce sont des standards de 80/80 mais si vous êtes un peu large n'en voulez pas à notre mobilier merci !! Je pense surtout que vous vous surestimez vous même. Aller donc manger un bon fast-food ça vous irais tellement mieux. Lucas et Chris
