We started with momo, garlic naan, cheese naan, and vegetable and chicken samosas. They were so delicious that we couldn't stop eating them! So we ordered another round of momo and some pakoras to try (they weren't as good as the rest of the menu) and... to finish, we asked for the peshwari naan, and it was our best experience of the day!!! It's easily the best restaurant we've visited in Lisbon during our three years living here. For sure, I recommend it and will come back ASAP! :):):)

We had dinner there the other day and found the food and service to be truly fantastic. It is not your pretty or romantic restaurant, but they hosted our group of 20 people beautifully again yesterday. I highly recommend them!

The service was very slow, especially with the main dishes, which led us to order extra starters (like samosas) to curb our hunger. When the mains finally arrived, the Himalayan Shahi Korma Lamb was mostly sauce with barely any meat, and the portion was very small. The Tandoori Chicken was average—neither crispy nor generous in size. Desserts were good, but the real issue came at payment: despite displaying a Visa sign, none of my credit cards worked. The staff claimed they had changed the machine and could only accept debit cards. I was forced to pay in cash, which was inconvenient and embarrassing, especially as I was hosting two guests. This is unacceptable and misleading. Restaurants should not advertise payment options they do not honor. It felt like a trap to avoid card fees. I won’t return to Lumbini and hope this message encourages them to revise their dishonest practices. No one should feel misled or uncomfortable when dining out.

Word for word, a quintessential choice if anyone wants to indulge into Nepalese cuisine. Though on the outside, the restaurant seems small and "touristic", it is very far from it: the decor taking one to Nepal while staying in Lisbon, the staff fully comprised by nepalese nationals (very much welcome into our country!) and the amazing food that makes you want to savor every last bite yields a perfect restaurant, for all sorts of meetings. Will definitely go back in the future!
