10/10A really nice surprise. It was my first experience with Lumière... and to be repeated. Great chef, a nice range of menu options, fantastic service and a very cozy informal atmosphere. A real treat! Let's hope it will keep up with the same level.

8.5/10Lumiére is a charming little restaurant tucked away on a little lane in Cascais. The food is very good and portion sizes quite generous. Many starters and salads can easily be split. The service, although very friendly, was a little slow and sometimes we had to flag the waiter down, even though it was busy at all. It's also a little on the pricey side, which would be fine if they kick the service up a notch.

Good afternoon Robert, we guarantee that you had a fair service on the scale of the restaurant. (Attentive and luxury). However, it is obvious that if you wanted to be on a terrace instead inside, you would have to call the waiter whenever necessary... You had a very comfortable reserved table inside and you didn't want to. We find it extremely arrogant of you to question the price knowing that you have always had the attention of the whole team... Our prices are still below the fair standard of the restaurant. You were served by the managers (owners) and they carry friendliness, professionalism and a lot of experience in the field. We're sorry you didn't like it, but your review has the obvious objective of distorting the restaurant.

9.5/10Great food. Super staff. We went to Lumière following the great reviews and it didn’t disappoint! Not a very large menu but well balanced and offering a bit to every taste and preference - my husband had meat, I had vegetarian, both delicious. Congrats to the chef and the team there!

10/10I really enjoyed my meal at Lumiere. The food was truly excellent (I had the asiatic crunch mushroom and confit duck with citrus risotto). The advice about and choice of wine was fantastic. The staff were welcoming and very knowledgeable (I was about 15 minutes late so they were also very accommodating). It has a really nice vibe and decor. I think they have opened relatively recently - I wish them every success (and book now while you can still get in!). I am in Cascais for a few more days and hope to get back there. Highly recommended.

10/10A haven of calm. The salmon ceviche was fabulous and the tuna was fresh and was beautifully and lightly seared. My husband had the confit duck and I have the tiger prawn as the main - both good. The wine selection was both compact and bijoux - and reasonable priced. The service was charming and attentive. The card machine is a bit temperamental but no worries as there is an ATM just outside.

10/10My girlfriend and I loved our experience. The ambiance was cozy, the service was excellent, and the food was outstanding—especially the Salmon and Duck. It’s a perfect spot for a romantic date, and we can’t wait to go back!

7/10Mayhem. No wine list, Told all but 3 wines were €25, but no menu to review list so just have to go on whatever the waiter recommended. No card machine, tables too close together so that even waiter had to try and shimmy pass tables. I have read that this is a new restaurant but they could do with some trained waiting staff. Only told that they took cash after we had ordered food. Food was nice but service is not up to the standard that this restaurant is trying to present. Décor is very nice and restaurant has huge potential.

Hello miss. Sorry about your experience but I have to say that about the wine list we told you on the get go that it was still being printed and the chosen wine was per your liking and made with the outmost professionalism. About the card machine, we had a problem that week with the card machine service and we are sorry for the trouble, I can say that right now is working fine, nonetheless it is not normal for us so that's why we told you only after you sit and ordered cause it is not usual to happen. About the waiting staff, we always try to present the best staff for our clients and to provide the best experience possible and fortunately we are very happy with our team at the moment, of course there is always place to improve but I think it is a bit unfair to say that the waiting staff needs training considering the formation they all add with so many experience on the field. 10/10We had dinner here twice because we liked it so much. You can eat outside on a pleasant patio or inside. Inside has a cool New York vibe with brick walls and comfortable seating. The food is excellent. Our favorites were the mushroom tempura with a spicy mayo siracha sauce, beef loin in a port wine sauce and the sour cherry tiramisu. The wine recommendations were spot on. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We will return on our next visit to Cascais.

10/10This is a gem in CASCAIS, slightly hidden but well worth the hunt. The menu has a good variety of options. The beef and duck were delicious. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the owners went out of their way to give us a great night out. Can’t recommend the restaurant enough.

7.5/10This restaurant tries very hard and is working on getting things right after its recent opening. However, at the moment, the menu doesn't really work. It's not clear what style of food you are eating. I know it's supposed to be Portuguese food with a Japanese twist, but that doesn't come through. The appetizers were ok but the sauces were cold. The citrus duck was just ok, the risotto is not properly made and there's too much citrus. The wine list could be better. I am sure they will improve in the coming months. We would come back.

9/10This recently opened restaurant is a find, the duck was excellent, would recommend, the service could have been more attentive, and would recommend. Please bear in mind they require payment by cash for now.
