As it was Monday the Cafe was quite quiet but friendly attentive staff.

Should state sole is on the bone as my wife had trouble trying to remove them but we had a nice meal and a few drinks ,,, hotel Monet recommended it to us And glad they did ,,,, service was a bit slow but nice staff

We had delicious mussels , and enjoyed sitting in the covered terrace, watching the world go by. A very pleasant and tasty dinner.

The food is good and a value at the price. Lemon sole and veal snitzel were good as were the frites.

Nice eclectic place. Restaurant has indoor eating, closed patio as well as outside patio. Had good early grey yrs and beef stew croquettes. Friend had espresso coffee and tomato soup. Croquettes were tasty and enjoyed those with mustard. We told several friends on our group tour to try it out as well.

All in all, everything was good. We were a large group - more people than we had initially booked for. The restaurant was quite empty inside but we had a feeing that the guys were reluctant to sit us all. Finally everything was good but this minor confusion at the beginning made us feel that we were not very desirable guests. The service, snacks and drinks were quite good.

Menu had all the standards we hoped it still had. Food was ok, but the service was inattentive. Friendly.

Waiting time over 1 hr. Service mediocre. Brought the bill even before the food. Medium ribeye was at best well done escalope - thin and dry. Pepper sauce war red in colour. Flies everywhere. A complete disaster.

Very fun and personable waiter. Very good artichoke and chicken satay. Both ribeyes over cooked. We asked for medium-rare, got medium-well. French fries were excellent.

Reviews were good so we tried it. Service was inconsistent. Food was mediocre at best. There was a reason it was easy to get a reservation here.

Very poor welcome from front of house staff. Got shown to a table with no thought whatsoever sitting amongst a bunch of people drinking coffee and eating chocolate bars. The food was very good but for a birthday meal the whole experience was disappointing. Didn't really look like the same restaurant on the website.

We went there for my b’day and sat to the best tables facing to the street. Their menu had many choices with reasonable prices. Only thing was the kitchen was closing at 20:30 for main dishes and at 21:00 for everything.

Below average food and dirty interior. The tables were really old and dirty with chunks missing out of them, very sticky and had not been cleaned. Cutlery was dirty and the food was below average, disappointing

I had booked the Cafe so as to admire the Art Deco interior, but it was an incredibly hot evening in September so we sat outside. It's location is great, at the end of a buzzing, happening street, and there was an entertaining flash mob on the Spui just in front of us. The staff were nice, attentive. The food was very good quality. I had a beef carpaccio that came with many lovely additions and a juicy burger. My only slightly negative comment is that the wine list could have been a little more extensive. A very enjoyable evening for this couple!

We loved the beer, the food and the people watching on the square outside Luxembourg. The Caesar salad, Luxumbourger, croque monsieur and BLTCA sandwich were fresh, beautifully prepared and arrived in a timely manner.

I had the modules and frites. The mussels were small. The broth not very flavorful. Bruschetta for a starter was good. Frites were good also. I had been there once before and thought the quality was better.

As always a positive experience: we were there for lunch and had good food at reasonable prices, and the service was friendly. Because it was one of the first sunny days we did make a reservation for our group of four, which turned out to be unnecessary as long as we didn't want to sit on the terrace.

Another terrific dinner at Luxembourg. Come back every year in November and I love coming here for my 1st meal of the trip trip. They have the best food.

Ordered a cheeseburger and it arrived without cheese. I notified the waiter if the issue and he said someone from the kitchen will come by to fix the problem. 10 minutes later, someone takes the burger and adds a cheez-whiz-like concoction to the same burger, which is now Luke-warm/cold along with the fries. After I finished about a third of it, the waiter asks how everything is and I tell him that it’s nit so good. He offered to have the kitchen make another burger, but at this point, the dining experience is ruined. I’ve already eaten a third of the cold burger and have no desire nor the appetite to wait and eat a freshly cooked burger. It’s a shame because this place has a pretty good atmosphere.

As noted it’s a great place to people watch. The food was very good and our server, Paul, was excellent - and friendly and helpful as well! Thank you!

This cafe is one to include on your list when you're in Amsterdam. The food and drinks are very good, the ambiance is cozy, and the staff is very welcoming. We sat inside this time, but the terrace is situated perfectly to enjoy the bustle of the city and I look forward to experiencing that this spring and summer.
