5/10Reviews were good so we tried it. Service was inconsistent. Food was mediocre at best. There was a reason it was easy to get a reservation here.

6/10Very poor welcome from front of house staff. Got shown to a table with no thought whatsoever sitting amongst a bunch of people drinking coffee and eating chocolate bars. The food was very good but for a birthday meal the whole experience was disappointing. Didn't really look like the same restaurant on the website.

9/10We went there for my b’day and sat to the best tables facing to the street. Their menu had many choices with reasonable prices. Only thing was the kitchen was closing at 20:30 for main dishes and at 21:00 for everything.

3.5/10Below average food and dirty interior. The tables were really old and dirty with chunks missing out of them, very sticky and had not been cleaned. Cutlery was dirty and the food was below average, disappointing

9/10I had booked the Cafe so as to admire the Art Deco interior, but it was an incredibly hot evening in September so we sat outside. It's location is great, at the end of a buzzing, happening street, and there was an entertaining flash mob on the Spui just in front of us. The staff were nice, attentive. The food was very good quality. I had a beef carpaccio that came with many lovely additions and a juicy burger. My only slightly negative comment is that the wine list could have been a little more extensive. A very enjoyable evening for this couple!

10/10We loved the beer, the food and the people watching on the square outside Luxembourg. The Caesar salad, Luxumbourger, croque monsieur and BLTCA sandwich were fresh, beautifully prepared and arrived in a timely manner.

5/10I had the modules and frites. The mussels were small. The broth not very flavorful. Bruschetta for a starter was good. Frites were good also. I had been there once before and thought the quality was better.

8/10As always a positive experience: we were there for lunch and had good food at reasonable prices, and the service was friendly. Because it was one of the first sunny days we did make a reservation for our group of four, which turned out to be unnecessary as long as we didn't want to sit on the terrace.

5.5/10My ordered food had not come for 20+ minutes that they forgot mine. They apologized, though. Note that they can’t call any taxi. In case if you needed, I recommend to use Uber can pick you up in front of the restraint.

4.5/10Ordered a cheeseburger and it arrived without cheese. I notified the waiter if the issue and he said someone from the kitchen will come by to fix the problem. 10 minutes later, someone takes the burger and adds a cheez-whiz-like concoction to the same burger, which is now Luke-warm/cold along with the fries. After I finished about a third of it, the waiter asks how everything is and I tell him that it’s nit so good. He offered to have the kitchen make another burger, but at this point, the dining experience is ruined. I’ve already eaten a third of the cold burger and have no desire nor the appetite to wait and eat a freshly cooked burger. It’s a shame because this place has a pretty good atmosphere.

7.5/10We have been here twice now during our stay at Amsterdam. The first visit was great , good food, fast service, good ambience. We returned with a cousin who happened to be in the city, we had to wait for nearly an hour before we recieved our food despite having booked. Rather expensive but good choice of food

10/10This cafe is one to include on your list when you're in Amsterdam. The food and drinks are very good, the ambiance is cozy, and the staff is very welcoming. We sat inside this time, but the terrace is situated perfectly to enjoy the bustle of the city and I look forward to experiencing that this spring and summer.

9.5/10We enjoyed the food and the chance to sit outside and relax. We had lunch at the Cafe Luxembourg while taking a break between visiting the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. We were tired and thirsty, and the server immediately brought us a lot of water and gave us time to recover before taking our order. I had a delicious flatbread pizza as did several of our traveling companions. Delicious!

7.5/10Wonderful location, wedged between the Spui and the Singel canal, with a "terras" sidewalk cafe on both sides. Excellent service - the pace has a long tradition of serving as a watering hole for journalists, artists, writers, flaneurs. But to my dismay, the accountants have struck. No more nice thick napkins that cover your entire lap. The "Garnalen kroket", a concoction of seefood ina crisp shell, has shrunk to 60% of its former size, when. the used the outstanding "Dobben" brand. A very thin single slice of smoked salmon covered my sandwich - where are the generous portions of yore? Loyalty means sticking to the place, as I've done for thirty years now - but nostalgia should not be the dominant motivation....

6/10It was OK, definitely works if you are hungry on a busy night and don't have or can't get reservations where you really want to go, and need a place that you can get into at the last minute with decent food and atmosphere. Not great but OK and way better than wandering the city hungry and tired looking for somewhere else.

7.5/10Nice atmosphere but food not exactly as good as expected. I ordered onion soup which was well too salty. The staff was not bothered that I left more than half of it. Goat salad was very good but it was missing honey. When asked about it I was told that small amount should be in the dressing. The waitress offered to bring me some more but she could not find it anywhere. Not sure I will come back again but still enjoyed a good location and atmosphere
