Food was okay but the pasta and risotto dishes were way too salty. The place also seemed to cater more for tourists rather than locals. Prices seemed a bit too steep as well even with the Fork 20% off discount!

We are sorry to hear that you found pasta and risotto too salty, but we would like to underline that you choose Cacio e pepe and parmigiano risotto, which are not salty but very savoury because of the cheese and its intense flavor. Moreover, the place was full of locals, as it usually is, and just a couple of tables of tourists. Again, we are sorry if you were not fully satisfied with the experience in our restaurant

Menu was a welcome change from all traditional Emilia-Romagna foods. Macrame' offers new twists on traditional and European dishes while still offering traditional Reggio-Emilia tastes. Loved the modern interior and art, lower lighting and just right table separation.

Outdoor seating in a shaded private patio. Excellent food, and great service.
