Location is inside Óbidos and you could´t ask for a better one. The food itself was well prepared but lacked a bit of flavour on the second dish...we asked for "arroz de marisco" first, and then "Alcatra grelhada c/ camarão servido c/batata rústica & salada" the potatoes were nice...and that´s it. The service was fast and the staff were organized and very helpfull. Good facilities

This place is amazing, I highly recommend it. The food is delicious, truly delicious, the whole decoration inside is out of this world and the staff.. the staff just brings it all together, being so nice attentive and friendly. We will be coming back, for sure! Thank you for everything, guys, you rock!!! And add it says on the sign above the door "We're all mad here"!

Beautiful venue and fantastic staff. The food was ok, good for a tourist trap such as Óbidos but not worth going out of your way for.

The restaurant staff and service was great, they acknowledged our reservation and service was excellent! We both had different entrees and mine was overdone, but the other dish was fine. Overall it’s a great place for lunch but don’t set your expectations too high.

Small but very nice space for a meal with friends. Service was terrific. Although he worked the tables alone, Erik provided stellar service. To all including large birthday party. Good recommendations for the wine and also the entrees. My tuna steak was superb and cooked to a requested ‘blue-ish’ rare that was melt in your mouth wonderful.

The food was really not good. One person in our group got fish that was more bone than meat. The vegetarian sausage was unappetizing. The pasta was bland and all the fishes were very salty. The best parts of the meal were the tiny bowl of pickled vegetables some of us got on the side and the roasted potatoes. Would not go back.

Lovely casual restaurant working the be city walls. Excellent staff. Nice variety of dishes prepared well. Some unusual combinations but they were delicious. Would recommend.

Nice ambience and friendly staff but the food quality was poor. We had the Seafood Rice and they used fake crab and the sauce was not tasty.

What a fantastic jewel! The service was outstanding! Our waiter was on top of our order and even seemed to know what we wanted before we ordered. Perfectly prepared House Clams and Prawns.

Made a reservation at 8.30pm th day before we arrived. Food order placed at 9pm. Covert came at 9.30pm ( bread and cheese) and at 10.15 pm we left as food was nowhere to be seen. We are very laid back people and my husband is the most gentle laid back man you could wish for. For him to leave and be scathing is rare and the first time I have witnessed him be this angry. I would leave no stars but no option. We paid for our drinks and covert. No apology - no offer of discount. Really appalling food service. French family beside us had waited 1hr for starters and after 2nd hour they were told ten more minutes for their main dish. After we left they were still waiting after twenty more minutes - they are probably still waiting now. I am sure they would have left much earlier but had two very hungry teenagers to feed To add salt to the wound there were four people working in the kitchen as far as we could see. FOUR! What were they doing?

We went to Madok on the 9/08/23 with friends and family on a day out in Obidos after searching trip advisor. I had prebooked a table as we were a party of 12 for 14:30. On initially entering the restaurant it looked ok and we were happily seated. We ordered our drinks and food whilst the conversation flowed…and not much else happened from them on. Our food came out at 16:00! 1hr30 min later!! We had to chase the waiter for an explanation of why our food was late- there was no offer of getting us some bread with butter or olives to accompany the drinks as we waited for the food. Then we had to ask for the kids to be fed first as they were getting really hungry. When their plates came out the food was not hot. Eventually the adults got our food but they took longer to get the meat plates out. I had the Octopus and it was going cold, my husband had the prawn pasta and it wasn’t very tasty at all. Nothing special to write home about on any of the dishes. When we asked for the bill they tried to charge us for everything so we asked for some kind of compensation to make up for the wait and the cold food. Diego eventually took off the kids food and the drinks from the bill. We understand that the kitchen had issues and things can get out of control sometimes but it’s how things are handled and moments like these are dealt with that says a lot about restaurants, so I’m afraid to say that Madok left a lot to be desired.

Staff was friendly, but food quality very bad. We were overcharged for a starter ( clams ) 15 euros, that had no price on menu, but seemed to be the same as mussels ( 8 euros ). Disappointing

Fabulous location inside the castle walls of Obidos. Very `Harry Potter` inspired, great staff, very friendly and great music playing in the background. We did have a great night, but primarily we go out to restaurants for good food, and food wise it was a let down - both my requested starter AND my requested main course they had run out of (it was 7.30pm, so a tad early to have run out) and so my wife and I had the same main courses (beef in cream), and both felt it was a 5 out of 10. Disappointing given everything else was so very good. Will we go again? To give them a second try? Probably because it is a fun place, unusual, and different.

We had a wonderful dinner. The service was excellent, the food delicious, and had a wonderful atmosphere. We tried a new dish, were promised we would be very happy with it and we were. Highly recommend it for a very nice experience.

From the moment we walked in the door we felt we arrived at our quirky home. See all the photos and know that they accurately reflect the vibe. We enjoyed the Sage dinner for two, with smoking cocktails and could not have enjoyed it more thoroughly. Recommend the food, staff and prices as a lovely evening awaits you.

The atmosphere of the rest is very welcoming. The service was incredible and was very worth the friendliness of the waiter who attended us. We chose to eat little salmon and was doubtful. Great choice for those who will meet Óbidos.

Our party of four ordered from the menu. Two orders were correct but Two Beef entrees ordered came as pork entrees. The server had no interest in rectifying the problem. He stammered and said "sorry" about a dozen times but was not interested in correcting his mistake. The period of time was not busy and he wrote down our simple order but the end result was a disaster. The server lacked any grace and finesse. The only two dessert offerings were Pathetic. All in all, a terrible experience for my wife and I who were hosting our overseas guests. Highly NOT Recommended.

Great food, great service. Had a great evening here! The food is of a good quality and very reasonably priced. There is a good choice of meat and fish.

Meat quality is below average. I prefer more expensive food but with quality. Mushroom sauce was very good but fries and rice portions where too small. Staff was very helpful and nice and the atmosphere was very good.

A lovely restaurant with good food and a great selection of cocktails, all reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend visiting it if you are in Obidos.

The space is very inviting. They have a huge cocktail menu. I would suggest ordering an 8 plate tapas meal and share. There were 3 of us sharing and there was more than enough.

The service is at top notch, we really enjoy our meal time there. We ordered the 5 tapas and we enjoyed 4 of them, the only dish we did not really like was the pork curry as it was a bit dry. Overall, it's worth visit and we will return.
