10/10My wife and I came here for dinner. The restaurant is small but very cozy. As soon as we arrived, we were seated by very pleasant and professional staff. The menu is very interesting. I had pickled anchovies as a starter and pasta with black ink sauce, musky octopus, and Taggiasca olives as my main course. My wife chose Amberjack tartare as a starter and Slow-cooked cod as her main course. Everything was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the marinated anchovies. We finished with dessert. I had gnocchi stuffed with plums and my wife had apple pie with ice cream. It was a fantastic ending. The gnocchi with plums was luxurious. We chose Vermentino to accompany our meal, which was very good. The overall impression was great and we really enjoyed the evening. The price is absolutely reasonable. If we are ever in Trieste again, we will be happy to return.

10/10I was in a exploratory mood- don’t like anchovies- but ordered them and it was SOOOO good! Fresh, lemony, not fishy at all! Also tried the octopus and black ink sauce pasta- again, out of my comfort zone and really liked it!

Some of the finest seafood dishes I've ever tasted, certainly in Trieste. Beautiful and surprising, in a cozy setting, with great service and more than reasonable prices, Madreperla is definitely a strong recommendation!

9.5/10A real find. The ambiance is special, cosy and truly well designed. Simple.and adeuate.. The menu is simple, with a little menu to match, and an impressive fasting dinner if you have time enough to spend. A fine choice of wines by the glass. Reasonable priced. The Food isexcellent. Haute cuisine, thoughtful and original, beautiful presented. Simply the best in Triest so far, the restaurant with its froendly people made our day.

10/10We had such an excellent time - we did the tasting menu and the food and wine pairing were excellent. The wines had a wonderful cadence from light to flavorful to fruity and back down to light which matched the cuisine extremely well. Our server was also excellent and attentive. We loved how they merged asian flavors into more traditional italian cuisine. Very nice job!

10/10This is a true jewl (literally a pearl). The food is amazing, The chef does wonders with simple yet high quality ingredients and really makes them shine. We especially liked “crudo di mare” and “calamari scottati con carciofi”. The latter has been one on the best calamari dishes we have ever tried. The personel is also super kind and the atmosphere relaxed. I highly recommend this place!
