10/10My wife and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in the Cote D'azur and chose Maison Joia for our special dinner. It certainly was! We chose the chef surprise 7 course dinner with six wine pairings. Since there was only six pairings for seven courses they served us a glass of champagne with the first. Every course was filled with special seasonings and sauces and the presentation for each was inventive, artistic and exquisite. The restaurant is owned snd operated by a married couple, with the wife serving and explaining every dish completely. We could not have had a more satisfying celebration dinner!

10/10We ate here on our last night in Nice. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by one of the owners, the chef’s wife. The space is elegant and comfortable. The focus is on organic and locally sourced food, and each course is beautifully presented and explained. The chef’s creativity, attention to detail and passion comes through in each delicious bite. The entire meal was a wonderful experience.

We were fortunate to spend our last night in Nice at Maison Joia. The experience felt like a combination of culinary education, taste exploration, and magic show. Husband and wife team, Julien and Laetitia Pilati, the chef and the guide respectively, have crafted a unique experience exploring creative and delicious possibilities in an inviting and intimate environment. Their enthusiasm for the food, joy in sharing it, and passion for supporting local French farmers and bakers clearly came through. Each course was thoughtfully presented, verbally and visually. And the flavors and textures were incredible! The meal was an amazing experience that we would highly recommend.

Would thoroughly recommend a visit if you were looking for great cooking in more relaxed surroundings than those you might find in other ‘fine dining’ establishments in the area.

Fantastic restaurant for a wonderful tasting menu. All food locally sourced and was all delicious, the wine pairing was exceptional. Wife and husband team as hostess and chef. I went by myself and was made to feel very welcome. Thank you for a fantastic dining experience.

10/10This is a great restaurant run by a husband and wife team. The husband is the cook and the wife services the customers. Small and beautiful place. Quaint and romantic. Service was excellent and the food was absolutely the best. It is deserving of a Michelin star compared to other actual Michelin star restaurants that we had tried. Highly recommend a visit if you are visiting the Nice area of France.

+3From the moment we entered we knew we were in for a magical night. We were greeted by the owner Leticia who is also part culinary guide and and wonderful host. What followed was a journey in flavors and presentation that we’ve never experienced before. The meal and the care for its presentation were unprecedented. Upon completion we met the chef who is also Leticia’s husband. In speaking with him you could tell took his craft very seriously but was interested in our feedback. If in Nice definitely take an evening and enjoy this amazing restaurant!!! Bruce & Cindy

10/10We had a warm and welcoming greeting when we arrived. The decor is beautiful, simple and elegant. Everything is designed for the guest’s comfort and pleasure. Then the food arrived. Each dish from the amuse-bouche,through the gorgeous menu, to coffee and dessert was a pleasure to all the senses. Chef Julien’s food starts with an elegant presentation to the eye and a leading flavor to the tongue. It then coalesces into something radiant and unexpected and delicious. Laetitia, the hostess, was attentive and friendly. Her enthusiasm for the mission and local partners that provide the ingredients for Mason Joia’s superb menu was infectious. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to return one day soon. If you are in Nice you must go to Mason Joia!

We chose this cozy restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday while we were visiting Nice from Boston. We truly enjoyed a 7-course menu with wine pairing. The food created by Chef Julien Pilati was amazingly delicious! Each dish was beautiful and had a subtle taste. Laetitia Pilati, chef's lovely wife, served all the tables efficiently. She was so nice and shared with us her wealth of knowledge of local products Chef used, wines she selected, and their food cultures from Champagne and Brittany. This couple perfectly runs the entire operation with no other employees! Their passion and teamwork truly inspired us because we also work together. We look forward to visiting the restaurant again. We wish their continued success and future growth!!!

The hidden gem of Nice! Truly splendid cuisine with each course outdoing the last in showcasing the best of Provence (and Breton) until your mouth, heart and soul are ready to burst with joy and satisfaction. Impeccable service in a simply elegant environment created by the very friendly and welcoming husband/wife restaurateurs. Tres magnifique!

From supporting local wine makers and bakeries to creating beautiful dishes with seasonal ingredients, these two know what they’re doing and are excelling at it.
