This is the perfect restaurant for a very good meal in a casual, friendly atmosphere. Charles, the owner, greets customers warmly and the meal progresses effortlessly and satisfyingly to the end, where I suggest you conclude with the excellent “grandma’s chocolate cake.” Before that delightful dessert, our party of five loved the scallops, chateaubriand, sea bass and veal stew. And praise for scallops is special because we live in Nova Scotia and buy them at the wharf.

Maison Pillet is a perfect blend of excellent food and a friendly neighbourhood vibe. We were greeted warmly and the warmth continued throughout the well paced meal. Our food was excellent, starting with the baked Camembert with figs and ending with grandma’s chocolate cake. Our mains were superb— sea bass in a smooth tasty sauce and an unusual and delicious take on chicken cordon bleu. We will make this our go to place for excellent food in a casual atmosphere.

The food was delicious. We were made to feel very welcome and it was lovely to chat about the local area. We loved the wine too. We'd love to return if we're ever in Paris.

Nice casual dining experience. Great to have the dishes on the menu explained (as a result of this all 4 in our party changed their initial choices!) Food was excellent and great beer and wine.

I used to be a local and I still go back. The two owners are good fun if you have a chat with them but formal if you are there to just eat. Food is simple but good. Wine is very nice, follow the recommendation. Very good value. First restaurant owners I got so chummy with.

Very good all round. The staff allowed us to sit and chat till 3.30pm even though closing time for lunch was 3pm.

Very nice, family-oriented, place in the 17th. Straightforward menu and wine list with excellent quality. The mousse au chocolat for dessert was to die for. The pepper sauce on the steak was also epic. Friendly staff.
