We had today an awful experience in the Makan Streetfood restaurant. It is highly rated in TheFork but it is the most horrific food: oily, almost no vegetables, the ones in the curry overcooked, too salty plus unfriendly staff.

Hola Roeland. Qué mentirosos sois. Habéis probado 2 platos de una carta de 16, por lo que calificar toda la propuesta como “horrific” es, como mínimo, exagerado y malintencionado. No consumís carne y aun así se os ofrecieron alternativas; que no encajaran con vuestros gustos no implica un mal servicio. Tampoco es ser “unfriendly” informar de que llegasteis 19 minutos tarde a vuestra reserva y que disponíais de 1 hora y 11 minutos para comer. Eso es información, no mala educación. Además, si realmente hubiéramos sido antipáticos, no habríamos aceptado un cambio de mesa teniendo el local lleno y organizado. Y sí, había ruido: no somos un templo, somos un restaurante de street food. Wir verstehen Deutsch und Englisch und wir haben alles verstanden. Man weiß nie, wer die eigene Sprache genauso gut spricht. Ein bisschen Empathie schadet nie 😚

When you advertise a discount on all the dishes. This restaurant doesn't respect this by saying afterwards that it doesn't include the sidedishes and the desserts. Not cool.

Out of menu desert was the greatest one I’ve ever tried. Local pancake with banana, canela and some magic inside 🧚

Very nice little place with authentic thai curry, i loved the taste and it was just perfectly spicy which is hard to find in Spain. There could be more vege option and for the ones on the menu i was missing more protein

We had 4 dishes that were all extremely tasty. They were all very authentic and full of flavour. I am so happy we came across this restaurant as it will now become one of our regular places in Valencia.
