10/10We had dinner at Wau on Wednesday, November 27 with a group from work. 1. The Sfeer was super gezellig!!!! My colleagues loved it. 2. The owner Ben Kot was so helpful and welcoming - and very bescheiden :-) 3. Last but not least, the food was soooooooooo amazing, You could taste the time and love that it took to prepare the wonderful dishes. Reminded me of my mom's loving homemade dishes. Thank you Mr. Kot for a wonderful evening. We enjoyed ourselves so much. and thank you for also being so easy about the flower delivery for my colleage and having it ready on the table for us when we arrived. I will certainly be back. God Bless!

2/10Server was super cranky, blamed us for not giving the order correctly. The flavours were NOT there, even the peanut sauce was bland (and I honestly do not know how that’s even possible). The satay were NOT charcoal grilled, no smokey flavour at all. The only thing that tasted nice were the green chilies on the table. Definitely very much a disappointment, especially since we were in Malaysia last month.

9.5/10Nice cosy restaurant in a lively street. We sat at the window with the doors open so we got both the vibes in and outside of the restaurant. Great Malaysian spiced food, perfect variety of satay, nice vegetarian dishes as well so something for all to choose from! Bottle of Prosecco to go with the food, great combination!

9.5/10If you like Malaysian food and happen to be in Amsterdam, this is the place! Its a small restaurant and seats can fill up quite fast so better reserve in advance! The food was just amazing, definitely one needs to try the famous Nasi Lemak! Until next time, Terima Kasih!

10/10Never disappointed! My favorite restaurant in Amsterdam. Taste and flavors remind me so much of the ones I experienced in my youth when we lived in Malaysia. If you're looking for genuine Malaysian food (and especially satay - only in the evenings of course), that's definitely the place to go, and believe me, I've been searching for places like that in all the many places I've been across Europe over many years. I only found another match: a Singaporean restaurant in Birmingham.

2/10Very poor service We had to pay 1 euro each for the glass when we asked for tap water! We had shrimp fried dumplings for starters which were dry. Half way through our meal, the handle of the door of the restaurant! My friend accidentally dropped her mocktail as she was handed the glass, it took more than 10 minutes for them to clear the floor. Then when we were given the bill i mentioned that the spilt drink was not replaced. The owner then said well ‘Shit happens!’ So so rude! We paid our bill with no tip and left!! Would highly NOT recommend this restaurant!!! We accidentally We had beef rendang which lacked sauce and flavour We asked for pina colada mocktail and they put like juice in it and served one without a straw.

6/10The Nasi Goreng was bland the pickled green chilli on the table was tasteless. I asked for some sambal to go with my Nasi Goreng but it did not elevate the blandness of the dish.

7/10The most important is the food, and it was quite close to what we have known when we were living in Asia. So very good point for it! The service was a bit messy at the beginning but the 3 waiters/chef were very friendly and smiling. The ambiance is bizarre with a uncoherent decoration , no music, and a very strange light. Located in a very touristic place of Amsterdam, you could think that you will be scammed and eat a very average food, but not at all, we will go back for sure! They deserve a second try and I ll suggest them to put the music on this time:)

9/10Went back there after some years and the quality was still more than good. Having no way of judging the authenticity of the food, I can only say it seemed to be reasonably so. Portions were large enough (meaning big). The price level was okay for a restaurant in a tourist area and service was friendly and mostly knowledgeable. We will go back.

9.5/10The beef curry, Kari Beef, is outstanding, and the beef and chicken satay is the best I’ve had since I was last in Malaysia. We went back for dinner again last night, just before the restaurant started to fill up, and the service was excellent. The kitchen obviously has limited capacity and, if there are number of tables waiting to be served when you arrive, you may have to wait a while for your meal. But the food is worth waiting for. I wish this restaurant was in London or, better still, Guildford.

7/10Restaurant was quiet for a Friday night. Location is really good. Food is very good and served rather promptly. Service wasn’t attentive but it got the job done.

10/10The restaurant was very quiet due to a certain pandemic. The welcome was very warm and I got the best table. The food was excellent. A perfectly balanced mix of spicy and sweet, with a of vegetables. I really enjoyed my dinner, and I hope to come back. Not really cheap, but well, we’re not in Petaling Jaya and the products used are of high quality.

8/10Super friendly and warm staff. The dishes were tasty - but without the discount at Fork, would be too expensive. There was quite a long wait (40 minutes) for our food to arrive, but that was mainly because the restaurant suddenly got very busy. A good experience overall.

6/10I would like to be able to be more positive, my experience was OK but could have been better. The staff were friendly and helpful but had difficulty understanding me in both Dutch and English. The food was not as Malaysian as I would have liked - it was a bit too Dutch Indonesian style - which might be a clever move to make it acceptable but wasn't needed. Perhaps I went on an "off day". Food was nice, and the right amount, and the price was very fair.
