Out of the city a bit and not a cinch to find, but oh worth the effort. The place is sexy dreamy and the food is amazing as is the wine!!! A must visit.

A very memorable anniversary celebration at Malcandrino! Very welcoming, professional, excellent meal and food choices and amazing service! I will definitely recommend and return upon my next visit! Thank you to the amazing staff!

Situated just outside Lecce, below ground in a very cool and nice setting. We got good service from the staff, but there was no extra to it. The disspointment was with the food. You could see that they were trying, to make it look and taste good, and it looked pretty good on the plates, but one can question the quality of some of the ingridients, and to be sure the excecution of making it.

What a find. We were not too sure of leaving Lecce to dine outside the city but this restaurant was beautiful with a talented chef. We had the eggplant ravioli :superb. And the barley and seasonal vegetables to start. The chicken dish and the beef rib dish were outstanding. The wine list complements the fair. We shared a “lemon pie” which was a deconstructed pie. Lemon curd with toasted meringue and fins of pie crust. A memorable meal.

It was my husband’s 40th birthday and they greeted us with two glasses of bubbly as discussed previously. The service was incredible and the food also. We also enjoyed the local red wine our waiter suggested. Overall an amazing experience!

Off the rod but definitely worth the detour. A must do if you are around Lecce
