10/10We read mixed reviews of this restaurant but decided to try it anyway and did not regret it. The food is excellent, the waiter explained carefully the different cuts of meat and we ended up choosing the Simmenthal, which is aged, well marbled and was perfectly cooked. It melts in your mouth. We also had the ribs, which again were delicious. So hard to get good ribs in Rome! Highly recommend this place!

10/10We had a fantastic meal. The staff were knowledgeable and so friendly and we were guided by them in terms of ordering. We were not disappointed; the food was amazing, the steak was so tender and mouthwateringly delicious. Such a fab restaurant. What was particularly great was that the staff were so attentive and helped with both food and wine decisions. You definitely need to include this in your stay in Rome. We will definitely be back.

9.5/10Great restaurant in a neighborhood we are staying in for an extended period currently on Holiday. Wonderful Risotto and Meat selections. Endless Wine and Champagne List. Great dessert selections. Service was great and English friendly. Very fair pricing. Will definitely return during our stay.

5.5/10This restaurant has an amazing setup and beautiful terrasse. It was a great find outside busy areas of Rome. Food is great, but service is terrible. Definitely not welcoming tourists and seem to prefer local clientele wearing Zara clothes and Botox.

4/10Meal was sub par overall. Disappointing meat. Not left to rest thus the plate was extremely bloody. Taste was lackluster, and little attention paid to the presentation. Poor quality and service felt as though we were a nuisance.

6/10Food was lovely but place was too bright and felt like a library. Proper Menu only in Italian - it was laminated if you wanted the English version. Shame as made it feel cheap. Venue full of locals so good choice. Think it was more meat focussed if that’s what you’re after. It wasn’t awful at all just a bit lacking in atmosphere really.

6/10Not as per expectations . Not an option to have a good piece of meat below 1200gr-1400gr which was too much . Meet was served in a Himalayan salt block which wasn’t hot enough to continue cooking the meat. It was served rare and had to send it back to cook it more to medium. Even we know Himalayan board , it wasn’t explained to us. They could have been better to elaborate and explain the concept. They served chips than fries , it would have been better to have more options. Service was too slow as well.

4.5/10So we didn't have the steak. That's important to know as the restaurant specialises in it and looking around some of the steak looked great, some...less so. The other dishes seem like an after thought though. We had duck with foie gras and berries, which was duck, slightly overdone, with duck pate and dried orange... And we had pork ribs - 4 of them in a sauce which was a bit too sour for taste. Service was okay, but waiter didn't know the specials and didn't know what side he had given us. Another waiter spent 2 mins on the table behind us which meant his ass was in the back of my partner's head knocking into her several times. Not ideal. All in all, it wasn't a great experience.

10/10I can't sing enough praises for the restaurant. Everything was pleasantly pleasing and perfect. The food, main course, wine, dessert, was amazing - a word I do not use lightly. Perfect for a quiet romantic night, for quiet family dinner or a gathering of friends. The menu has something for everyone. And unlike most restaurants, doesn't force a seafood course into the menu just to have one. The slow cooked Iberian pork ribs I had... I can't remember if I've ever had better ribs before.

5/10We arrived at promptly 7:30 but felt that the restaurant was not ready for diners! We were the first customers of the evening and were shown to a very dark corner of the outside restaurant, that was not quite under cover. We were seated beside an unlit, outside patio heater. It was a little nippy and we felt most unwelcome. During our visit a sole diner was shown into the restaurant, a couple were shown to a much brighter, warmer part of the outside restaurant. We ordered our food - which was grand but not anything special, we requested our bill which before being presented to us was shown to the formidable head waiter. We paid, left a small tip for the waiter (as I felt the atmosphere was not his fault) and we were glad to leave. We have spent the last week in Rome and have eaten at many restaurants, including one very close to Mama Mia, and they have all been exceptional in their service and welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for Mama Mia. Perhaps we did not fit the profile of their usual customers? We cannot understand why so unfriendly towards us (except for the young waiter who actually served us but he seemed to be under the gaze of a very hostile head waiter - this was our honest impression.

4/10When we went for a tagliatta for two, the attitude changed a lot, personnel removed one basket of bread, the meat was served cold, the potato chips are really … potato chips served in a bowl… only the grilled zucchini were ok. Disappointed…

9.5/10Once again a nice experience. After having tried lunch here before, the dinner setting was excellent as well. The staff is friendly and helpful in making decisions from the menu. Especially the advice on the various meats Helps in deciding. Food is of good quality and great taste. I look forward to returning once more.

10/10Mamma Mia is always a safe choice. Before you sit, you already know that it will be a very tasty experience. Today everything was perfect, just the pasta of my co-diners was hardly warm. But my tortellis' were excellent. And the fiorentina was luscious, warm, tender and tasty. Also my mother (who doesn't like rare meat) enjoyed it. Just the desserts would rather be more generous.

4/10This review is not from my daughter, but rather her father: What started out as a family celebration for our last night in Italy quickly turned into a bad choice. Food was good, service was terrible. They delivered bottled water and the appetizers promptly. The waitress promptly provided the bottles of wine we ordered. As the placed filled, our waiter was non-existent. It took me 10-15 minutes to flag him down to order more water. When our entrees arrived, we were missing a salad and two entrees. I couldn’t flag this guy down as he was more interested in other tables. As most of us were finishing our meals, a second waiter finally came over and dropped off the salad. Before he could run off, I told him we were missing the two entrees. Fifteen minutes later nothing had arrived. Finally I got up and spoke to the manager. He could've cared less. He removed the service fee from the bill and the two missing entrees, which by that time I had sent back. Save yourself some aggravation and find another place.

8.5/10Superb food!. We enjoyed and had a very nice meal. Service was good however the waiter must be more empathic and take time to explain the dishes, and let us know about what was not in the menu. We were guessing the options looking to other customers.
