9.5/10+1The food was perfect. The same plates we had tried in other restaurants nearby, simply tasted better at Mangiafuoco. The prices were reasonable, and the owner was very friendly. I would have given it a full five stars if our waitress smiled even a little bit. Easy recommendation.

9/10The restaurant is a typical trattoria. Dry aged meat greets at the entrance. Tables are too close together so that there is very little privacy and the adjacent conversations may be annoying. Besides that, the service and the food is exceptional. The portions are truly generous so that I suggest to share dishes. I ordered beef tartare with burrata and truffles which was more than enough for two. I also ordered a small mixed salad which was actually large. The fresh hand made pasta with porcini and truffles was spectacular. I recommend the red house wine.

10/10We went to Rome, Florence, and Amalfi coast for two weeks & our group agreed this was our favorite restaurant, food, and experience. The Florentine steak, potatoes, and pasta were the best we had in those three places I mentioned. So worth it. The service was also amazing, our server was very attentive, charming, and professional. Definitely a must if you are visiting Florence!

10/10Omg, all the food we had was so tasty. Staff very nice and professional. We recommend to choose from the menu the Tartare di Chianina served with Burrata and Truffle. And of course, it’s a must to order the Fiorentina steak…you won’t regret it! Definitely, we will go back!

9/10My wife and I are back in Florence from the U.S. We had dined at Mangiofoco before (NOT MangiofUoco) and wanted to go back. I made the reservation for the one further north with the “u” in it and only realized my mistake moments before our reservation. We decided to keep them and give Mangiofuoco a try. We are so glad we did! While a bit further away, the restaurant is very charming and inviting. We were greeted and seated promptly and the service was excellent throughout the meal. We ordered the bistecca with spinach and roasted potatoes in true Florentine style. While it was being prepared, we enjoyed an Aperol Spritz along with the prosciutto and melon appetizer. The ham was amazing and the melon was perfect! The steak was served as ordered and it was delightful. It was perhaps a little gristly and tough but the flavor was excellent. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the cut of beef itself. The house Chianti was nice as well. Overall, we are glad we made the mistake!

8.5/10Dinner with friends. We took 3 first courses (pappardelle Al cinghiale and Pici Cacio e Pepe) and one salad. The food, in our perception was fine, although without particular notes of merit. The waitress were accommodating and professional, yet colder than we are used to in Florence. Finally, the atmosphere is very good: the fairy lights give warm vibes, as well as the open-air cellar and the arch of cork stoppers, which provides an original element.

10/10The T-bone steak was really good! The pasta I chose was also delicious and had a great texture. It was the best choice before leaving Florence. The waiter and the boss were kind and made us feel at ease. If I come to Florence next time, I would like to visit again. Considering the kindness, I would like to give you 6 stars! :)

6/10Located close to the heart of Florence it was an easy walk from the hotel. Very casual and had a “pick any table you want” methodology even though we had to make a reservation. There was a gentleman doing some type of maintenance work IVO our table but it wasn’t to distracting and didn’t last long. Service was quick but aloof. Menu is substantial without being too large. Had the mushroom croutons and while served hot with a nice presentation the flavor was so-so. Known for their steak Florentine we ordered one and the other selection was the gnocchi. The steak was okay..not great..not life changing…just a big piece of meat. The gnocchi was served piping hot and was also equally okay. Side dishes of potatoes and vegetables were also unremarkable. This was an anywhere, any town, generic meal that checked the box of had steak Florentine in Florence but was otherwise “Meh”. A yawner of a meal served by a friendly, competent attendant.

10/10Sweet little restaurant with great food. We shared the bruschetta and prosciutto and melon. Very generous and so fresh, delicious. Then my husband had the Mangefuico pasta and I had carbonara. Again very generous portions and perfect flavour. Highly recommend this lovely spot.

10/10We were seated right away even though we were a few mins late and had to change the reservation time. When we arrived we were greeted and welcomed warmly. The staff made our experience just perfect. They suggested not to get too much food and that helped us stay on course and enjoy the dishes we did get. Florentine steak was amazing. We were not sure about the rare cook style but we were so blown away by the preparation and the quality of meat. Thank you guys for the awesome recommendation. Asparagus flan is such a cool dish. We loved it! Our 1 year old baby loved all the food and had such a great time at this place. We will recommend this place to our friends visiting Florence. Such great food and just wonderful people running the show. Thank you for a great evening.
