Pasta was really not good. Tar-tar was ok. The service was so terrible. Each time I waited my order for a long time, waitresses were not friendly, and when I asked for the check both waitresses ignored my request. I waited for more than 20 mins. Then I had to come to cashiers myself, and there one of the waitresses tried to cheat me with the change.

It was my first time in Florence, so I tried several well-known restaurants, but many of them didn’t live up to their reputation. This place, however, is the real gem of Florence. If you want to experience true local flavors, this is the restaurant you must visit. Reasonable prices, excellent service, and absolutely amazing food. I’m even thinking of coming back again tomorrow!

Bistecca can be ordered from 600-700g per person, or 1kg for two people to share. However, since it includes the T-bone, it wasn't a huge amount. The amount of side dishes for 6 euros was also quite good. The steak tasted really exceptional!! The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, so I was very satisfied! It's right next to the Accademia Gallery, so please visit.

The food was perfect. The same plates we had tried in other restaurants nearby, simply tasted better at Mangiafuoco. The prices were reasonable, and the owner was very friendly. I would have given it a full five stars if our waitress smiled even a little bit. Easy recommendation.

The restaurant is a typical trattoria. Dry aged meat greets at the entrance. Tables are too close together so that there is very little privacy and the adjacent conversations may be annoying. Besides that, the service and the food is exceptional. The portions are truly generous so that I suggest to share dishes. I ordered beef tartare with burrata and truffles which was more than enough for two. I also ordered a small mixed salad which was actually large. The fresh hand made pasta with porcini and truffles was spectacular. I recommend the red house wine.

We went to Rome, Florence, and Amalfi coast for two weeks & our group agreed this was our favorite restaurant, food, and experience. The Florentine steak, potatoes, and pasta were the best we had in those three places I mentioned. So worth it. The service was also amazing, our server was very attentive, charming, and professional. Definitely a must if you are visiting Florence!
