BE WARE - CHECK YOUR BILL BEDORE PAYING! The food is actually decent and the atmosphere and service quite nice, but I have to give a lower star review as a warning to future clients, because as it has been pointed in previous reviews about this restaurant, when our bill first came, it included a larger number of the items we ordered. When we pointed it out to our server, he immediately went with "oh sorry that's the bill from another table". It wasn't. It was exactly our bill, with all the items we ordered...just more of them. They did correct it. But it left a sour taste. The idea that it's ok to cheat a little, maybe because its assumed that foreigners are loaded and will never check. Well...we did. And they worked themselves out of a large tip. This is very disappointing behavior because it felt like deliberate cheating. Its sad really....Portugal has a great restaurant culture, with highly talented and honest professionals. With this type of behavior we all loose.

We went for the seafood, and it was one of the best, if not the best seafood dinner we ever had. The quality of the food, service, space and view over the sea. Dinner for 2, around 200€, but worth every euro.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and the meal we had last night. Sole meunière, sea bass, both excellent, at the top of the best ever. Wonderful service and an extraordinary view of the Atlantic at sunset. Beware, though, that if you order a “martini” you will get a glass of Martini & Rossi sweet vermouth over ice with an orange peel. I had to explain the recipe I wanted: gin with a splash of dry vermouth and olives or a lemon twist. “No tonic?,” the waiter asked. “Isn’t that too strong?” 😄

We had a delicious meal here over looking the surfers at sunset. Perfect spot for dinner and the prawn linguini with rose wine sauce was fantastic! Attentive and friendly waiter also. Highly recommend!

Mar do Guincho offers a scenic ocean view and a pleasant ambiance, but the experience was mixed. The food was decent, with some dishes standing out more than others, but overall, it was satisfactory. However, the service left much to be desired. The waitstaff's attitude was dismissive and inattentive, detracting from the dining experience. Despite the stunning location and the potential for a great meal, the lack of attentive service overshadowed the positives. Would recommend only if you prioritize the view over service. For sliced tomato without salt and oil - 9 euro )) they called it tomato sallad … they did after we have ordered dish for 140 euro

The restaurant is beautifully placed and the food rivals any of the great restaurants along Guincho Beach Coast. The staff was uber attentive, we wanted for nothing. The only reason I didn’t give them 10/10 is because the lighting is off - it’s so bright it feels like walking into a dentist. I like seeing my food, but the ambiance is a bit steril. And the light is so bright that you can’t see outside of the windows at night. Change that and you got yourself a gem
