Excellent service and beautiful food with taste to match the beauty. They pride themselves on preparation as well as presentation. We had the squid and lamb and would recommend both. The chocolate tarts with salted caramel was rich and perfect for sharing. The only thing I would change is dimming the lighting and add a candle or small table lamp to improve the ambiance.

The Octopus a lagareios was tender but was served like it just left boiling water, no flash grilling which is a must.

Fabulous second visit, we had rump steak, chicken and the Angus burger followed by the home made cheesecake. Great place with lovely staff, wholeheartedly recommended 😀

We visit here regularly as it's one of our favourites in Tavira. Staff are friendly and helpful and service is always good. The food is great too, the smash burger is delicious and the steaks are really good. Value for money and great experience every time we visit.

We’ve visited for lunch as group of ladies a couple of times in the last weeks. Really friendly service and the food is great. We’ve all thoroughly enjoyed our visits.

The lamb we had was undercooked and had way too much herb crust on it but the prawns were excellent. Service was good

Good quality food at a good price. We had the Salmon and the Filet Mignon which were excellent. The previous visit I had the sea bass which was small and not good value. If you are going to order a whole fish I recommend you go to a fish bbq restaurant otherwise stick to those fish you wouldn't get there. I would definitely recommend Mares

Lovely welcome and given a choice of tables. The food was delicious. My seared tuna was the best that I have ever had. The rest of my family had ribeye steak, prawn risotto and grilled salmon all of which were delicious. Clean plates all round! The passion fruit sangria was really refreshing. A lovely meal, thank you.

Warm welcome, offered a choice of tables, inside and out. Food was well priced and tasty. The Sangria looked amazing but unfortunately I was driving. A lovely meal.

Appreciate we were a larger table of 9 but as a result we where sat to the side of the restaurant. We had to wait for a starter and a main course as had been msse. Been in Tavira 2 weeks and this was probably our worse meal

Unfortunately the food was not good - actually really bad. Chicken super dry, french fries not cooked, burgers okay, but then I almost ate a slice of a plastic spoon which was weirdly enough on my plate.. Atmosphere is nice

The food was excellent.... extremely good value for money. The staff were attentive, polite and so helpful. The restaurant was comfortable (it was very, very hot today) and the decor was good. There is no area in which this restaurant failed to please.

Not one to insist on the discount, but once it was mentioned the service dropped... only got a sneer off the waiter when I paid... food was alright
