The service is always wonderful. Waiters are kind and considerate and try very hard to accommodate whatever our needs are. I love that we are not rushed to leave but can truly share a lunch with friends. I love this restaurant!

Extremely disappointing and expensive and left hungry... After our 1st visit 2 years ago we excitedly returned but unfortunately it was not a good experience. Waited 45 mins for a bottle of wine after asking 3 times. We understand the concept of Tapas but when 3 people order various dishes and only 1 dish arrives every 15/20 mins everyone was left starving.... Tuna Tartare swimming in oil, 5 halves of mushrooms with 1 spoon of sweet potato puree again full with oil...other dishes ok but all over priced and 1 never arrived. Complaint made but not acknowledged and even the glass of wine after to 'compensate' was charged fully... 150 Euro for 3 unhappy, hungry clients, would not return....

I’ve been there for the first time. The guy at the reception could have been German, told me that I came to early (30’ in advance) before figuring out that I was on time. Later they brought me a red wine bottle which was almost chilled and told me that this was the only one before bringing me one with room temperature. The food is good, the ambiance very nice. The service is weak.

David, is the best server and host. He's always welcoming, smiling and attentive. Today, a friend of mine and I sat for longer than maybe we should have. My husband dies a few weeks ago and we were reminiscing. He didn't know any of the details, but he didn't rush us, was kind and accommodating. I love your restaurant, the food is delicious and clean. I'LL BE BACK SOON!

To be honest, my husband (who doesn't eat seafood/fish) and myself, a vegetarian, don't usually like traditional Portuguese food, but we had heard good things and decided to give it a try. They have taken simple dishes and elevated them and we loved our dinner! The restaurant says it's tapas, but we found the portions quite generous, especially if you get a side. Highly recommend it!

iv been many times in the past. and loved it but this time im not sure I will return . the welcome very anything but friendly and warm . my water didn't smile once and was pretty rude. the food wasn't great. actually the worst I've eaten in 5 years loving here

Excellent food and modern ambience. This restaurant sticks out in Caldas as both upscale and causal at the same time, with good food and service. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is beautifully quirky. The flavor combinations in the food were fabulous and inventive. The small plates enabled us to try different menu options. The service was very good (thanks, David). It was a wonderful dining experience.

Maria dos Cacos is on top of our list when we want to eat well in Caldas da Rainha. The menu, although limited, always features very good "prato do dia" and the service is kind and professional. Highly recommend!

Again and again Maria dos Cacos keeps raising the bar. Food was fantastic, with emphasis on the tuna belly and the mushrooms with eggs. The service Devine. Nothing quite like this restaurant in Caldas or anywhere near the silver coast. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back (again)

Great setting and service. The staff were attentive but not overbearing- always nearby but not hovering. It is a small restaurant with maybe 10 tables. We reserved a table for when the opened and the placed was full shortly after. We focused on the periscope. They were all tasty and varied. My only complaint is our meat free had a herd time finding things to eat and it would have been nice to have a few more fresh vegetable choices.

Always enjoy our outings at Maria dos Cacos. All of the food we ordered was fantastic! What would have made the service better was for the staff to actually know and remember what each person at our table ordered. There was some confusion on our tuna order, one was a tapas, the other was a main course which we ended up clarifying with our server. We did however thoroughly enjoyed our evening!

Food is very good, fun and modern. Some of the dishes are excellent. The service is very good. Music selection is VERY GOOD, today was perhaps a little loud because the restaurant was not fully booked. I like this place

This restaurant has all it needs to be 10-10 food and environment wise. Unfortunately the staff was not up to par. I believe they need more staff for a busy Saturday night. Our drinks were late, ordering more was hard. Our deserts were late. Dishes were forgotten Such a shame
