4/10We started with the octopus salad. The octopus was tough and chewy and the dressing was uninspired - a little citrus would have added some dimensionality to the dish. I had the scallop and clam risotto. The scallops and clams were over cooked and the risotto had an odd flavor which neither my wife nor I could identify - we didn't finish it. My wife had the sea bass which was also over cooked but the asparagus risoto was good.

9.5/10We had a very nice dinner. We have eaten here several times and when in Lisbon, we make it a point to try to eat dinner here one night. The menu was updated, and while we enjoyed the prior menu, we felt this was an improvement. So, good service, a nice menu, and overall a very nice evening. We will return.

10/10Great restaurant with great food, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. Great value, too. Above all our waiter Marco, was patient, pleasant and helpful. He is multilingual and quite an asset for a restaurant catering to a a good number of tourists not versed in Portuguese.

10/10The warm welcome and goodbye were so heartwarming. The food was excellent, beautifully plated and so mouthwatering. This restaurant definitely deserves the five star rating! Don’t miss this when in Lisbon!!

4/10We chose this restaurant because of its good rating. But our experience was the opposite. The servers welcome you with some starters including bread, butter and an octopus salad. Then they give you the menu... When the bill came, there's approximately 15€ charge for the above mentioned starters that you didn't order. We find it dishonest. Never had such experience anywhere else. Maybe they only do it to tourists, not the locals, to explain their good rating.

7/10Staff trying to oversell starters, drinks and port wine. Staff want to speak English despite our efforts trying to speak Portugese language. We where 4 guests, two of us living in Portugal, and we are not from North America.

10/10The food is outstanding. The seafood is fresh and flavorful. The service is wonderful. The staff is very helpful and a lot of fun. So close to the museum. We had dinner before the opera. We will be back!

9.5/10Food was fresh & delicious. We had seafood carpaccio, grilled octopus & seafood risotto. The waitstaff was helpful & did not rush us. They were very friendly. We even received a free taste of port at the end of the meal. The restaurant is in a quiet neighborhood outside of Lisbon city center, but it’s worth the metro ride & short walk.

I had the pleasure of dining her with my mum, and I must say it was an excellent experience. The food was outstanding, fish dishes delighted our taste buds. The white wine recommended to us was a perfect choice, perfectly complementing our dishes. The staff was extremely kind and attentive, making our evening even more enjoyable. A truly special moment was when the chef personally came out to introduce himself and ask if we had enjoyed our meal. A classy touch that made the experience even more memorable. highly recommend Maria Peixaria to anyone looking to enjoy delicious fish dishes in a welcoming atmosphere with impeccable service. I can't wait to return!

Nice restaurant,not far away from downtown of Lisboa,they are dealing especially with fish and sea food.Rissoto with octopus and shrimps was like I am being guest on wedding in fairy tale.Guy who serves us is top professional,always got good suggestion in terms of wine and food!Well done.
