3.5/10This was such a disappointment! Totally overpriced under the average pub food. We opted for the set menu for 55/per person. The only nice thing was the strawberry gazpacho, a little glass… the rest was truly deplorable. An unappetising piece of fatty turbot fish with skin and loads of bones with some nondescript sauce on top, no veggies or any fresh salad, just a piece of bread, then stewed beef cheeks and a spoon of potato puree, no veggies, at least one sad grilled carrot would do wonders… reminded us hospital food (on a good day). And to finish it all a big strawberry sorbet, with strawberry coulis, whipped cream, crowned with stewed! strawberries… big hit in the 80’s?? And the last surprise was a 10% service charge automatically added to your bill. There are so many great restaurants in Sitges, difficult to understand where these super reviews come from. A total bummer. To be avoided.

10/10Food was very good as well as service. We had to ask for the “menu de Primavera” which was advertised outside but not handed to us in the first place. We will go back.

10/10We live in Sitges for some months over the summer and we hand’s been to Maricel before - we went for our wedding anniversary and were really wowed. We had the fixed chef’s menu and every course was delicious. There are many good restaurants in Sitges but we don’t know any other restaurant in Sitges with this level of service and professionalism - thank you, Maricel team, for a wonderful evening!

7/10We had a dinner reservation for indoor but when we arrived we were offered outdoor/patio sitting. It was around 90F in early August, too warm even in the evening. There were no guests inside and we asked to be seated indoors. The host/server looked annoyed but after several minutes of waiting we got a table inside. Service was okay overall, we got questions answered about the menu but were not made any recommendations. Paella had barely any seafood and when it was split between two plates I ended up with just rice. It didn’t quite hit the mark. Unfriendly staff needs more training.

The service was good. The reception friendly and efficient. The food tasty and well made. The issue of language were overcome. It is a classic restaurant. The classic dishes and wines to be recommended.

8/10Food was great, front of house lovely, management needs work. Resigned to an indoor table, even though booking several weeks in advance. When questioned had a very rude "no" response. Plus if you want dessert you must order at the same time. No chance if you might be hungry and you're not sure This is a place to check out, but be aware of poor management choices.

6/10Much too expensive, especially when you compare with other restaurants in the neighbourhood! 242€ for 3 courses and bottle.of wine is more expensive than Belgium! Also the only restaurant that asks to order the dessert at the beginning. Almost 4€ for bread?
