Maixx is my favourite restaurant lately! The quality of all dishes is exceptional! Especially fish is amazing, fresh, wild and masterfully prepared. The service is attentive and friendly. Great place in Monaco vicinity!

The view in their glass enclosed dining area is of the marina yachts. Impressive. Marixx has a tasting menu which is imaginative and excellent and just the right amount of food. The wine pairings are all very good wines but, since they each are for two courses, the food pairings are not as on-spot as would have otherwise been expected and the amount of wine was slightly disappointing. Service was excellant.

I made this reservation for my friends. I asked you serve them surprise dessert with her name. But you served first birthday dessert on next them table. So, he thought it’s for his wife and them he took a film with his phone. But it’s not for his wife… His wife felt he asked surprise dessert for her because of he filmed the birthday dessert of his next table. It’s not perfect surprise. It’s bit pity. And them you had mis writing her name. It’s pity too. But foods was very tasty He explained this comment for your restaurant!

The offering of this restaurant follows a precise idea: creating elaborate dishes mixing traditional Italian food and inventive fnding in terms of savours and textures. Execution is very careful and the food is presented in a pleasing way to the eye. Portions are small but it is not a restaurant that leaves you unsatisfied or hungry, since they are so full of flavour and a certain "wow" factor. A special bonus to the bread! Good choice of wines, mostly Italians. Service is attentive and reasonably quick for a restaurant that does not aim at speed in its experience. The setting, right on the dock of the new port of Ventimiglia, provides for a quiet and relaxing atmoshere (save for neighbouring restaurant's "live music" on Sundays). Finally, the price: not cheap for sure, not overly expensive for the quality offered and quite less expensive than similar restaurants nearby (or in France/Monaco).

Really great restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. Every detail is thought through - stylish uniform of the staff, design, open kitchen, the plates. The service was incredible. Definitely worth multiple visits.

This is a "destination restaurant", expensive, but distinctive, welcoming and memorable. The young chef understands the essence of Ligurian tradition and has the creative and technical skills to provide a wonderful dining experience. The staff is both professional and genuinely hospitable. Catch them on the way up!
