10/10The atmosphere is wonderful, a beautiful tile floor and wine bottles decorating the walls. Marta was our server, and was running the front all by herself, with her husband in the kitchen cooking. I would say that by Italian standards the service was a normal pace. She speaks enough English to get the job done, but was extremely patient when practicing our Italian with her. The food was incredible; the caprese was fresh and light, the gnocchi melted in your mouth, tagliatelle was rich and flavorful but delicate. The baccalà was firm flaky and delightful, the pigeon was also very rich and flavorful and I would 100% recommend trying! For dessert the chocolate cake with homemade gelato, and cantuccini. Again both were excellent and well presented. In fact, the presentation on all dishes was fantastic. We love Martarè and will recommend to anyone looking for an authentic meal in Firenze

10/10Our host of air bnb in florence gave us the recomendation of this place. The food, wine and service was great. The service is not slow it just take time to prepare every dish.

10/10Can’t recommend this place enough, it wasn’t overly busy but don’t let that put you off. It is away from the tourist traps but still close enough to walk too. Greeted by the owner, her and her husband cook and run front of house. Food was some of the best we’ve had in Florence. Must go!

10/10A superb restaurant with unbelievable food and service. This is not a cheap restaurant but a dining experience not to be missed. I've been in six countries in the last month and this was the best and most memorable meal of my trip.

10/10It was a great evening. We ordered the "Menu degustazione" and it was an excellent choice. We had probably eight different dishes in total - from appetizers to dessert, plus 4 types of wine and everything was excellent, fresh and perfectly presented. In addition, a very nice and friendly lady serving us. What more could you want. The place, food and service - first class

6.5/10Not sure why this is so highly rated. Woman in charge (owner?) spoke minimal English and was not very friendly. Restaurant was empty when we arrived at 6:30PM on a Saturday except for a table of two. Had no bubbly water. Had no potatoes. One of the pastas was not available. Very small portions. Very expensive. Took FOREVER to get served. The worst restaurant of our entire trip to Florence, Rome, Capri, Amalfi and Positano. I don't like giving bad reviews, but this experience ruined our night.

10/10Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Hidden gem, shocked and pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t packed to the hilt after a day of avoiding toes at Uffizi and Accademia both. Family owned, I went with the house recommendations - except I mixed fish and meat - oooops - wine was lovely too. All the things if you want a peaceful, authentic, delicious meal cooked locally.

10/10Excellent food in a lovely little restaurant just a couple of minutes walk from the Duomo. The presentation of the food was outstanding and the taste was superb. Defiantly worth a trip !

10/10Charming restaurant in the heart of Florence with a relaxing atmosphere. The cuisine is light, the traditional recipes are well executed using fresh local ingredients of high quality. The owners are really nice, always present and attentive. I highly recommend this place for lunch or for a romantic dinner.
