10/10Absolutely fabulous night dining at Matiz Lisboa. The food was delicious, the wine excellent, but the best part was the wonderful service provided by all the lovely staff, and in particular Edgar and Pablo who made our night a truly memorable one! They both made us feel most welcome, and their guidance regarding food and wine was excellent and very welcome. We would absolutely recommend Matiz Lisboa to anyone looking for a wonderful night out!

Besides a salad which, in my opinion, was a bit dull everything else was exceptionally good. I would mention the desert (chocolate cake?) which was indeed very special.

From the moment we entered our experience was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for our evening. The food truly stood out; every dish we sampled was a delightful experience for the palate. The chefs clearly take great pride in their creations, and it showed in the flavors and presentation. A special mention must go to our servers, Kamara and Pedro. They were incredibly attentive and demonstrated an impressive knowledge of both the food menu and the wine selection. Their recommendations enhanced our dining experience and made us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. As someone who cannot eat gluten, I greatly appreciated the restaurant's willingness to adapt dishes to meet my dietary needs. They went above and beyond by providing gluten-free bread, which was a lovely touch that made me feel included rather than restricted.

5.5/10Pleasant restaurant with friendly staff. However the food did not match our expectations. Our main course was delivered without the side we ordered and this arrived when we had almost finished our meal. The live music was also rather loud.

My fourth meal here this trip, I was no longer staying in the hotel, but I had to return for the cataplana, and was very glad I did. Thanks to Pedro my waiter for suggesting the dry white wine from Madeira Porto Santo, not well known but a perfect match.

8/10We had dinner at Matiz as a group of five friends! The service was excellent and thanks to Pedro was cheerful as well! I had the besque of lobster ravioli as a starter and the sea bass as main course and they were both tasteful! My friends actually didn’t like their main course and that partly ruined the night! The Fork’s 30% discount was highly appreciated.

9.5/10We had a wonderful evening in the Matiz Liboa. Victor looked after us excellently with great elegance, overview and charm. Compliments. The food was absolutely excellent, bold in taste and beautifully presented. The sea bass in the black salt crust was very juicy and filleted and presented wonderfully by Kamara. 2/10This is an AWFUL place! My husband and I went there for our wedding anniversary. I was wearing a beautiful dress that I had brought from London. It took me 2 hours to make myself look pretty. My husband, in the other hand, was very simply dressed. However, the waiter decided that it was my husband’s birthday, which it was not, and brought him a very nice cake with decorations and a candle. I felt so humiliated, because it was our wedding anniversary for which I bought a new dress!!! An awful shame!
