Very good food, good service and good ambience. Except for the ending: the waiters/cookers were fighting loudly about their salary in the back of the restaurant. Still very recommended.

Delicious food, great atmosphere. The service could be improved. 15 people waiting but there was no one during the dinner and towards the end to attend us and we had to get the menu ourselves for dessert. At first, one server said that certain desserts were not available. Later on, the other server came to us and when asked, she confirmed the availability and we had to change our orders. The food and desserts were very delicious and relatively cheap if booked through The Fork.

We enjoyed the 4 pasta dishes recommended by the waiter. 🍝🐙🐟🥩🍅 we had pleasant time there! One of the pasta dishes was missing from the order, and when I inquired about it, I had to wait in silence without any explanation. Apart from that, the food, atmosphere, price was reasonable, I would recommend Mattacéna to my friends.😀

The ambiance, and the food are excellent. We had delicious Ossobuco, and regional homemade Pici pasta—both were cooked to perfection. End with a chocolate cheesecake for a perfect finish.

The food was good. The desert was ok. The ambience was nice. The ladies bathroom was dirty unusable and be careful with the “coberto” it’s a piece of bread that they will put in your table without you asking for and they will charge you 17 Euros on the bill. surprise!

We had 4 different dishes: pasta, pizza, salad and board with cheeses and snacks. We really enjoyed only the snacks board. Maybe dishes weren’t to our taste, but pastas, pizzas and salads we enjoyed way more in other places Also we asked for half portion pasta, but got a regular size. I guess the waiter didn’t speak English well Coperto was charged 7 euro per person. The highest we paid in Italy

After a week in Firenze, Mattacena was the first restaurant disappointment I had. I ordered the "beef fillet." The meat was tough and stringy, but I did the best I could. At the end of the meal, the waiter asked if the food was good. I told him that it was not good and why. He said he would tell the chef. That was the last I heard from him. To be fair, my wife's pasta dish was good and other customers seemed to be doing well.

Excellent dinner with friends. Even the most difficult palates among us were rewarded with ample and tasty servings. Filet was optimal. Don’t miss the house digestivo/amaro (offered).

The food was incredible, well seasoned and excellent quality. We tried a tortelli dish, steak florentine, potatoes, porcini mushrooms and had cantuccini with vin santo wine for dessert. My friend and I shared all of the above and left very full with a big dish of leftovers to take home. The restaurant staff was friendly and helpful in making our food selections and the restaurant ambiance was lovely. Wish we had found the restaurant sooner in our stay in Florence!

Food was exquisite. Whe had two raggu pasta for the kids, a parpadelle with zucchini pesto and shrimp tartare, a beef stew a grilled vegetables. It was so much food! So good! And pay 56€!! The waiter was so nice, but shu actually forgot we ordered 2 aperol spritz at the very beginning and never got them.

We were welcomed very nice and the food was amazing. Also despite the central location, the restaurant didn’t have a lot of tourists and the prices were pretty decent. I definitely recommend this place!
