8.5/10Food was great, the deco (like plastic flower and plants) a little kitch. The quality of food is definitely much better than the look of the place. Our waiter’s ego was a bit bruised that we did not like his wine proposal which made for an awkward moment but otherwise he was well intended I guess.

10/10One of the best restaurants I experience so far traveling the world. Food is amazing and the service is more than on point. I experienced several Michelin Star restaurants and this restaurant must be an oversight of Michelin, if you ask me, at least one Star should be given. Keep up the good work guys, stay humble , stay hungry and stay awesome!

10/10Summary: Amazing Sushi Rice, unlike anything you had before, lovely tasting variety of not so common types of fish and GENUINE wasabi! This is the experience you want to have when you go to a high-end sushi restaurant! Focusing firstly on the most important, the sushi to sashimi set of 19 pieces. The amount of fish variety was perfect, with 3 types of fish that aren't so common, something you can only find in places like this. The tuna was just perfect, and there is no other way to describe it. The sushi rice is just insanely good! If you see the pictures, you can tell it is a bit darker, looking a bit brown and that is because of the special way they make it. Better than me explaining, ask the waiter because he had all of the explanations for everything! Quick note on the wasabi, it is real wasabi grated from the plant without add-ons as it should be! Miso soup and gyosas tasting great, but some levels below the sushi. Staff is very knowledgeable about everything! Atmosphere is great!

10/10Either order the cheap lunch menu or allow this very sophisticated staff to wow you! This is the 1st true sushi house in Lisbon, and I'm grateful for the delicious and authentic service.

5/10Not impressed at all. First, the waiter was so rude and condescending. He said we were at the "best restaurant in Europe". Insinuated we didn't know anything. I've traveled to Japan a couple times and he acted like this place was "the best". So I expected the food to be outstanding.........and it was quite mediocre. I appreciated the effort but fell short. Don't insult your customers! It automatically makes the experience bad.

2.5/10At first I was with a good impression however the sashimi tasted like a cold fridge. The rice was so acid and they tried tonkisyofy that it was my taste that maybe had something wrong and I’m a person who goes to all kind of omakases and that was not right Paying 250€ for poorly made sushi not cool

10/10We had an incredible experience at Matte Lisboa. The food was delicious and we gave our full confidence to the amazing waiter Angelo who guided us trough the menu. We got to know many new and interesting tastes and combinations of taste. Also the wine was perfectly combined with the food. We will come back and definitely recommand everyone to try this japenese experience.

5.5/10If you don't know Japanese food and wish to try in a very safe way and pay a fortune for the experience then go to Matte. It's pretentious, above average food but almost nothing like an authentic Japanese restaurant or experience.

10/10The restaurant is all about the freshness of ingredientes used and the creativity and mastery of the chefs. Come here for a culinary delight and be prepared to pay (fairly) for it. Highly recommend!

5.5/10This restaurant is a significantly over priced. Waiters are constantly pushing the most expensive items on the menu. The quality of food is Ok, but definitely not worth it.
