9.5/10The waiter was wonderful and funny! He chose the best wine for us we’ve had in Italy! My pizza was great. One of my friends had the filet and it was cooked perfectly and really tasty.

Great customer service, as soon as I arrived they kneel it was me with my party made us feel important All the staff we very attentive to our needs and helped us when we had questions with the menu, Food is excellent, delicious and flavour supurb Great atmosphere, ambience, friendly and excellent food I will definitely recommend to all my family and friends!

4/10The food was very average. Spaghetti carbonara was so disappointing the guanciale was not cooked just raw fat in spaghetti. Steaks are average. No one asked if we wanted dessert or to check on us. Did not even offer bread. Skip

6/10Arrived for our reservation and set for 15 minutes. Ordered and received our Chianina steak, potatoes and shrimp Pasta. Ordered the steak medium rare and it was thin, tough and flavorless. Pasta was limp and lacked flavor as well. When the waiter came at the end, he asked how it was due to our plates still full, and we told him. Anyway, if you’re hungry for a great steak….don’t come here.

5.5/10If you're craving meat and fries after days of pasta, this place delivers. The choice and quality of the meat are quite good, and the service is friendly and efficient. That said, the restaurant lacks the authentic Italian atmosphere you might find in other local spots. Still, it’s definitely a solid option if you're in the mood for something heartier and less traditional.

Ad an American, it was an unexpected delight to find a top-notch steakhouse in Sorrento with all that best that Italy cooking offers! In other words, the freshness and quality of the produce and pasta is better than a Ruth’s Chris or Morton’s, and the steak was right on par with the American steakhouses. Of course the wine was excellent and dessert with espresso really topped it off. Our bill shockingly low - literally half of what we’d pay for the same meal in the states. In our opinion, if you’re in Sorrento, a meal at Meating should be on your list of must dos. Seriously, it is that good and low cost.

9/10Tne eggplant, Parmesan appetizer was incredible. Sitting in the street side was delightful. It was a beautiful night. The servers recommended wine was delicious and steak was very good. Overall, a very enjoyable evening.

8.5/10We had a 7:00 PM reservation. We were sat at 7:00 PM. Our order was finally taken at 7:45 PM. Our food arrived to the table at 8:25 PM. At 8:45 PM a waiter came over to the table and grabbed my plate which I was still eating from and the bread basket and shocked me. He said "is there anything else?" as he walked away with my food, not waiting for my answer. The other two people in my party said I should demand my plate come back. I was clearly not done but I was on vacation so we just left.

9/10Food was perfect everything we had was lovely and reasonable price. We both had fillet steak that was cooked perfect, seasonal vegetables which was green beans but were delicious. We also had mashed potato and fries. Small restaurant off a side street near the main square in sorrento would recommend to family and friends if they visited sorrento.

Located in a small ally just off Corsa Italia, main walking restaurant strip, This quaint little eatery has tables in the narrow ally, where occasional scooters carefully buzz by making for a fun people watching and dining experience. Topping off was generous portions and delicious food, I had the steak, which was seared perfectly medium rare with mixed grilled vegetables. Mi amore had pasta with clams and that was also very delicious. Our waiter was great, spoke english well, making ordering easy and he was very attentive to our needs while dining. Followed this with an evening stroll out of the ally after the sunset, back into busy Corso Italia, so glad we ate away from the bustle among the shops and locals.. Will definitely return next time we’re in Sorrento.

10/10Everything about this dining experience was excellent. The restaurant is lovely & clean. The staff friendly and attentive. My wife had Lasagna & I had mixed meat grill. Both were excellent. Could not fault our dining experience.

9/10Friendly staff. Accommodated our group of 8 no problems. If you want a break from pizza and pasta you can have a nice ribeye or filet mignon here without breaking the bank. Nice house red wine. Casual and comfortable.

Although our third visit to this restaurant it was not because of the quality. We believe in giving restaurants a fair opportunity to provide a good service / dinner. 1st occasion I fell ill and had to leave half way through. 2nd visit a couple of years later it was average but had a good reputation. 3rd visit was to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately I cannot see us returning. Service although we were recognised and welcomed back the service was poor. We were not offered bread or oils which is usually the first part of any Italian service. Other tables were given bread etc but when approached at the end the reception was, you should have asked. The food was okay but just okay. Steak was bleeding through the Gorgonzola cheese sauce, not very pleasing to the eye even though I don’t mind a bit of redness. As a steak restaurant the quality was average. Potatoes portions were small and undercooked. Then to add more insult we were charged 8€ for coperto ( service & Bread )
