6/10Food was good, although they seemed surprised about dietary requirements despite this being on the booking information that was submitted a month ago, and me following up with them to confirm. Service from one of the staff was extremely poor, and our plates were thrown onto the table without any explanation. Our table was out of food, water and drinks whilst we waited for the last course. No one came and checked whether we wanted any further drinks, which we definitely would have had as the wait between the courses and getting the check was so long. We tried to get the attention of staff to reorder items but never managed to, as other tables seemed to be getting the bulk of service. The only instance of being asked if we wanted anything further was when we’d already asked for the bill, to be told to wait for a card machine, which we waited for only to be told that we actually needed to go to the bar 5 minutes later. Overall it was hard to justify the price given the experience that was had as we left hungry and had to deal with a particularly rude member of staff.

10/10A real hidden gem IMHO. The food was so amazing, best dinner in Paris after multiple trips and many restaurants. Complex flavours and textures, everything complimentary and contrasting in sometimes surprising ways. We did the 6 course tasting and only one dish were we did not love and it was still good, just not jaw dropping haha. Our absolute favorite dish was the chocolate mousse, defying the laws of physics to be that light and yet that rich! Atmosphere is a somewhat basic, still nice, but not fancy or especially elegant. Definitely not on same level as the food, but that's OK with me. We had a couple of glasses of white whine that were very nice but nothing special. Bottle of red was recommended and was great.

9/10Every dish was carefully conceived and perfectly executed. Staff was friendly, unpretentious and capable. It is a small restaurant with small tables and a spare decor but an enjoyable vibe. We stuck to the 50E pri fixe and had exceptional escargot, coquille st jacque, guinea fowl, and excellent mousse and fig desserts. One caution: the menu is not extensive and the non pri choices look spectacular. Be careful to stay on the pri fixe (also fabulous) or you could be stung by the bill. A talented chef presides here!

10/10Stunning restaurant!! Amazing cuisine and the service staff are top class!! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish - such a treat. Located in a beautiful, leafy & quiet neighbourhood, s wonderful setting. Thanks for a beautiful experience and your kind and attentive service, back soon

9.5/10It was a lovely lunch. The shrimp ravioli that Condé Nast traveller wrote about wasn’t on the menu, but what was there was yummy - duck hearts, sweetbreads, fish of the day, and a divine chocolate mousse.

9.5/10The place is a little out of the way for most tourists but it is well worth the journey. If you can, park yourself on the pavement and enjoy not much other than a pleasant and quiet street of genuine residential Paris. But the food? Oh yes! The Japanese chef masters a subtle blend of French classics (escargots, anyone?) with twists of his own, to create and pleasant suite (do indulge in the tasting menu) of surprising dishes. We loved the homemade tarama, the perfectly cooked fish, glazed pork and the light desserts, cookie and chocolate mousse. Fantastically relaxed and friendly service, great and generous wine pairing, we can't wait to go back.

9.5/10We had a delicious dinner at Mensae! The staff is super friendly and welcoming and the food was great. The only thing that we noticed for our neighboring tables was that the food arrived a little too quickly. We asked if they could wait a bit between our dishes, which they did eventually. Just something to keep in mind if you want a bit more of a "slow" dinner. Otherwise, overall a great experience and we'd love to visit again.

9.5/10Wonderfully low key, unfussy menu and surprising flavors made for a seriously enjoyable dinner. Start with the escargot (light and not at all what you'd expect) and the oysters, finish with any mains (though several are for two persons) we had the lamb...the standout of the night and the chefs complimentary clams. Every bite was delicious, and such clean flavors. Topped it off with a bottle of light red, and glasses of prosecco. Thank you!

10/10Delicious meal!!! We had the dégustation - 6 plates. We loved every dish- oysters, snails, fish, veal, desserts x 2. Wine recommendation to suit. Friendly service. Good value-food/quality. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

9/10The food was really good. Ambience also was good enough but cleaning would have been better. Also it’s related with service maybe because cleaning the table after one course would have been good. Also explaining the plates when they are served would be good. Those food deserves that.

8.5/10Very nice local restaurant with increadibly good kitchen, we loved every dish (tried the discovery menu from the chef). Unfortunately the service was not perfect - staff changed all the time and the waitriss forgot that I asked about a nice surprise for my husbond since we were celebrating his birthday here. Another waitriss forgot that one customer was vegetarian and served a dish with meat - so for the service 3/5 stars. But the food ist just wow. Merci!

10/10Living now in Canada, every trip to Paris always includes a dinner or lunch at Mensae, and their famous Mousse au chocolat for dessert. A classic not to miss. Snails as starter are also Great.

10/10A great find on a side street far away. Charming staff, great chef and some wonderfully inspired menu choices. The tapas were very generous and the selection of cheese was superb. Interesting wine list but I chose to try single glasses and was very pleasantly surprised.

8/10We came in for lunch right after service had started and had the set menu. We all had the main and dessert. The pork was very tender and the sauce was very flavourful. Even the vegetables were quite tasty. The dessert was only okay though. It was a bit too sweet, but looked nice; however, it was a very simple dessert so we exected better. Overall the service was prompt but not overly friendly, and the resturant was clean and had a simple asethetic.
