Cosy place, chefs ambitious delivering plats that are based on strong vision, excellent produce and are perfectly executed. Wine pairings were great as well. Well worth the uphill hike!

Great tasting menu for €62 which changes often. The restaurant is always full in the evening so make sure you reserve a table.

Excellent food, friendly service, would have had a glass of champagne but at €18 a glass it was too expensive, I would have paid up to €12.

Mensae never disappoints. After three years and an eleven hour flight since our first visit we returned to Paris and chose it for our very first night. The discovery menu was one perfect dish after another and the chocolate mousse is still the best in Paris, rich and unforgettable. The atmosphere is relaxed but professional, a place where families feel welcome and couples can enjoy a date without compromise. The staff are attentive and warm, making you feel cared for from the moment you arrive. What sets Mensae apart is that it has not lost its soul trying to chase accolades. It continues to deliver excellent food and earns praise directly from its guests. A must for anyone looking for an honest and exceptional dining experience in Paris.

Nice menu except for the veal which was so chewy I had to spit it out.

The meal was absolutely delicious. The chicocolate mousse mixed with ice cream and bits of crunchy praliné was to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We enjoyed the six course taster menu and the paired wines too. Team were happy to organise a veg/fish option and a meatier option. Thanks

I had the €58 discovery menu with an amuse bouche, two starters, two main courses and two desserts. It’s much better value than the 3 course menu which is €49. There were some bottles of wine at reasonable prices starting from €22 and some more expensive ones. It’s a pity that a glass of champagne is €18 which is far too overpriced so I didn’t have one. I would have been willing to pay €12 but not more. The service was very friendly.

Mensae is always a wonderful place to eat! Their food is of amazing quality and taste. It’s elevated visually and cooked with obvious love, care and respect for the ingredients. Highly recommend.

Excellent place. The room is bright and welcoming, and quiet enough to have a conversation with friends. The food was excellent, from appetizers to dessert.

Food was good, although they seemed surprised about dietary requirements despite this being on the booking information that was submitted a month ago, and me following up with them to confirm. Service from one of the staff was extremely poor, and our plates were thrown onto the table without any explanation. Our table was out of food, water and drinks whilst we waited for the last course. No one came and checked whether we wanted any further drinks, which we definitely would have had as the wait between the courses and getting the check was so long. We tried to get the attention of staff to reorder items but never managed to, as other tables seemed to be getting the bulk of service. The only instance of being asked if we wanted anything further was when we’d already asked for the bill, to be told to wait for a card machine, which we waited for only to be told that we actually needed to go to the bar 5 minutes later. Overall it was hard to justify the price given the experience that was had as we left hungry and had to deal with a particularly rude member of staff.

The food is OK to good, but they don't really have much attention in terms of service. The room was insanely cold. Bread was regular-to-cheap.

A real hidden gem IMHO. The food was so amazing, best dinner in Paris after multiple trips and many restaurants. Complex flavours and textures, everything complimentary and contrasting in sometimes surprising ways. We did the 6 course tasting and only one dish were we did not love and it was still good, just not jaw dropping haha. Our absolute favorite dish was the chocolate mousse, defying the laws of physics to be that light and yet that rich! Atmosphere is a somewhat basic, still nice, but not fancy or especially elegant. Definitely not on same level as the food, but that's OK with me. We had a couple of glasses of white whine that were very nice but nothing special. Bottle of red was recommended and was great.

Every dish was carefully conceived and perfectly executed. Staff was friendly, unpretentious and capable. It is a small restaurant with small tables and a spare decor but an enjoyable vibe. We stuck to the 50E pri fixe and had exceptional escargot, coquille st jacque, guinea fowl, and excellent mousse and fig desserts. One caution: the menu is not extensive and the non pri choices look spectacular. Be careful to stay on the pri fixe (also fabulous) or you could be stung by the bill. A talented chef presides here!
