Sarah, our server, was totally on it. She realised before we did that our table was becoming overloaded with the food that we had ordered. Without bothering us she told the kitchen to slow down the delivery of our tapas, bringing it out once we were ready for more.

ENG version Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing, especially considering its high average rating. We paid over €51 for what amounted to two small plates of potatoes, one of cured sausage and 2 drinks: two portions of « batatas bravas » – each barely five bites – served with a sauce that frankly had nothing to do with a real bravas sauce, and about twelve ultra-thin slices of cured sausage. Excluding the drinks – a white sangria and a mocktail costing €15 in total – the food alone came to €35, which was hard to justify given the quality and especially the quantity. The potatoes were decent, but nothing remarkable, and certainly not worth the price. Honestly, we left still hungry and ended up going to another restaurant to actually finish our meal. A disappointing experience and poor value for money. We expected much more.

Our restaurant offers both tapas and plain dishes. Tapas are intentionally small portions meant for sharing—not to replace a full meal on their own. If you wanted a larger plate, we do have that option clearly available. All our food is made with high-quality, carefully selected ingredients, and all prices are clearly listed on our menu so guests can make informed choices. We understand not everyone shares the same tastes or expectations, and our concept may not have matched what you were looking for. Still, giving a review like this based on a misunderstanding of our offer is unfair to the work and quality we consistently deliver.

Food was ok but perhaps unfortunately but when we visited the restaurant inside was quiet and lacked in atmosphere. We asked for the cheaper bottle of Cava and cynically weren’t surprised that they hadn’t got any so were upsold the more expensive one. The server subsequently made a show of slicing the cork off with a blade and wasted half a glass. We’d rather have just had the cork removed normally. Whilst some people like might fast service we felt it was rushed. Consequently we asked if we could finish our drinks outside but the restaurant at first weren’t accommodating saying there was no availability when clearly there was. As it was obvious we weren’t happy they did move us and there was plenty of space. We did not find the experience relaxing so would not return.

It was the only >4.5 rated restaurant open in the area early Sunday evening. The front of house & wait staff were excellent; even when under the pump as capacity was breached, they remained accommodating and polite with great sense of humour. Overall this created an enjoyable ambience, though unfortunately it slowed the table service and probably dropped the food rating. That stated the food and wine were good to very good, and I would both recommend and visit Meson Andaluz again.

We celebrated my father’s and uncle’s birthday at the establishment and we were not disappointed! The food was outstanding! The service impeccable! The owner even opening a bottle of champagne in an awe inspiring display! This is a restaurant which is truly worth a visit whenever one is in Lisbon! We were treated like tourists, which we are. Very slow service -we wanted a later reservation, but they show no availability. However, the place was empty. Took forever to get the check and would’ve gladly taken another glass of wine while we waited, but it was never offered.

The food was all fabulous but what made our visit so very special was the fabulous attentive service from our server Silvestre. Great food , awesome location really top notch , if I had a slight grumble a couple of the dishes took too long to arrive and one just never did , in fairness all were massively apologetic and they were very busy that night , would say will definitely visit again if I’m ever in Lisbon

The location and ambiance is lovely. We shared the paella which was tasty and plentiful. We started of with sharing four tapas dishes. The manchego was very good, the jamon a bit on the boring side. Loved the small peppers filled with cold fish. The waitor had too much on his plate, so the pouring of wine from our bottle did not happen even if our glasses were empty - so we fretched the bottle our selves (would have been a lot easier if he had just left the bottle on the table)
