Perfect , just perfect , The food amazing, the chef and his wife ( sommelier) absolutely adorable If you are in Maastricht just for one day , go and eat chez Danyel , you will not regret it Thank you to both of you for the delicious food and for your hospitality and kindness See you next week !!!!

Wonderful atmosphère with Mariska and Danyel who are excellent both in cooking and making you comfortable and at home! The ray and the lamb were really gorgeous. A wonderful evening!

Fantastic food, fantastic hosts! We never felt more welcome in a restaurant. You can definitely feel the love and passion that Danyel puts into food and his wife Mariska definitely knows her drink parings (alcoholic or non-alcoholic - she is a genius). I would genuinely drive all the way back from London again just to come to this restaurant!! Highlight of our Maastricht trip!

Pretty nice welcome. Very sympathetic! The food was pretty good - and I actually liked the concept of not knowing what he is up to. Very nice!! We took the 6 course menu and it was all very good. Tasty and very well arranged. Thanks to both, Danyel and Mariska! First time there, likely not the last (we are visitors, that means need to come back to Maastricht😉)

Lovely to meet Mariska and Danyel and experience their world of keeping guests at the restaurant. We had an amazing five course dinner which was very tasty and unique using local organic produce. We had a lovely time and highly recommend the experience.

Lovely, fresh and personal food experience. Loved the combination of flavors- each dish was somehow better than the one before! Danyel really knows how to bring harmony to his dishes! We would kidnap him and have him cook for us….

Yesterday evening we had a great Dinner at Danyels restaurant in Maastricht After greeted very nice by the couple Mariska and Danyel who operate the restaurant already for many years. We where asked to take an aperitif and despite getting a nice cocktail we decided for champagne. Soon oysters where servered and bread came on the table. A very good start. We choose a four course menu, Excellent fresh lobster classical gratin. Going further with Goose lever and preparation along that. After that a nice piece of entrecote with classical sauce beaurneaise. Then nice pieces of Limburgse cheese And for dessert fresh ice home made with different sorts of fruits. All in all a perfect experience , good service from both of them. Even the chef comes to the table. A very good experience and we will come back soon.

Hidden in one of Maastricht's streets ,far from the center (which is a plus ) go meet a welcoming relaxed couple who greet you with a smile ,pamper you with excellent food ,no set menu , just fresh of the day mixed with passion ,focused innovation and congruent wine pairing , this is what food gastronomy is all about and we had forgotten all about it !,and Danyel resembles a famous actor try to guess who :)

A lovely restaurant close to the City Centre run by a wonderful couple. We enjoyed a superb 6 course dinner paired with a very nice combination of wines. Great informal ambiance.

Nice restaurant, great welcome, attention to the fact that we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary ànd that my wife is vegetarian. The chef came to our table specifically to discuss with her the possibilities. The efforts he put into her courses were visible and it was wonderful! The dishes that he prepared for me, fish and meat, were also tasty and sometimes surprising. The wines that our hostess suggested complimented the dishes well and it was overall a very nice experience.

Just great! Mariska & Danyel are the perfect couple to let you know about their passion. Nice people, nice moment with our Family (19, 22 and 24 + us 50’) for Easter, incredible food (try the lamb!) and 1st class wine pairing. Ask for the homemade gin if there is still…We loved it and mainly…the people! Thanks

Easter lunch. What a disappointment. Took 2 hours and 45 minutes to serve 4 courses. Two of which cold and one pre-made. Service unconvincing and price way over the top for what it is. Total put-off.

Bij het maken van de reservering kunt u ook aangeven dat er kinderen bij zijn. Wij voeren geen kinderen menu;s. Dus andere gerechten kosten tijd. Zeker als alles vers en a la minute gemaakt wordt. Wat de tijd betreft. Ik ben meerdere malen bij u aan tafel geweest, als u even gemeld had dat u nog een andere afspraak heeft, had ik dat natuurlijk graag rekening mee gehouden. Danyel

Food was great. This review website however is not great. Having to use a certain amount of words in order to go to the next step is really annoying. I imagine that this results in less people leaving reviews. Plus, having to log in at the end means that it does not in fact take 20 seconds. More like 5 minutes. Anyway, dinner was great, staff friendly and overall a great experience.

Had a brilliant meal / evening out at Danyel tonight. Great service, friendly chef giving everything a personal touch. Food and wine were excellent. Thoroughly recommend.

Michelin Restaurant DanyelEen 2 voor mijn eten is buiten proportie, zeker nadat ik meerde malen aan tafel ben geweest en alles was top!!! gasten komen kom 18:30 binnen ,vragen om 20: 30 na 2 amuses en 3 gangen waarom het zo lang duurt. Ze hadden 2 kinderen erbij, die frieten en kip wilden, wij serveren dit niet, de recensie geeft niet weer wat ze hebben gegeten, Na de opmerking dat het “te lang” geduurd heeft , hebben wij piece en dessert binnen 10 minuten geserveerd. Raar is het dat iemand betaald en er 30,50 fooi wordt gegeven een 2 geeft.
