5/10Booking for 7pm. At 7pm, we joined a kp and a waiter waiting outside the restaurant for someone to turn up with a key. Eventually a key arrived. An extremely small glass of red wine was poured. When the food arrived, the rice dish was overdone and the lamb - the signature dish - was underdone. A shame, as we had travelled from England specifically to eat here based on a previous experience, when we were truly impressed with the place. Time changes...

6.5/10Service was excellent. Unpleasant smell in the restaurant. Ambiance also not pleasant. Most of the food was tasteful but we did have problems as a result of the food later on.

6.5/10Food was good, but 1. water did not ask me for sides, I should maybe have ubderstood there was no veggies or potatoes included, but I did not so I got a plate woth meat and sauce 2. the waitstaff kept sending me weird glances 3. they had not registered that I was paying with yums so I had to make them aware of it. meat was excellent!

I have never left a bad review of a restaurant but this restaurant is that bad. The black rice was honestly the worst rice I have ever had. The food was cold and mediocre at best. Definitely not worth the money.

10/10Mon Mignon is a lovely restaurant in the centre of the town. We had a fantastic t-bone for two. Excellent! The dessert and coffee were also really nice.

6/10Veal cheek was nice and tender. The filet mignon lacked flavour. Both came smothered in rather gloopy unimaginative sauces and served on top of the usual mashed potatoes.

8/10Service was attentive, but courses were not all served at the same time. Quite of bit of noise from the bar during the meal and the restaurant was rather stuffy by the end of the evening. Food and wine selections were quite diverse in both type and price. Starters were overwhelmingly good but mains were lacking: the duck was not well cooked and for the price I would have liked to see at least one vegetable (no sides were offered). Overall good but not great.

9/10Food was really good. Unfortunately the service was below the standard for such a restaurant. Our table, booked in advance, was not ready when we arrive (on time) and service was generally very slow. Anyway, I recommend the restaurant.
