4.5/10Lovely welcome but then no one attended to me or offered me drink for 15 minutes or more. I even had to ask for a wine list, somewhat misogynistic I felt. When I tried to order they had run out of Oysters. Brown Barnicles & slipper lobster starters are both pre-order. The prawns were, at best, average. There was a party of 36 & it seemed that the serving staff prioritised them, rather than individual tables. That said, the sunset was beautiful. But I won’t be going back.

10/10A lovely evening dining along the water. Wonderful wine, great seafood and amazing desserts. Service was also outstanding. Servers worked as a team and were very friendly too.

10/10It was a little confusing to get to, if you use app directions but it’s a pretty restaurant by the water. I went around 8:30 so there was a nice sunset. The food was solidly great and the wine delicious.

10/10This restaurant ticked all the boxes: a marvelous view over the river, a great assortment of fish dishes, and an excellent service. We sat outside, we had fresh oysters for starters, and we shared muscles with the ‘Spanish tomato sauce’, along with some deep fried squid, French fries and a jar of white sangria. The food was incredibly tasty. As soon as we were getting cold, the waiters offered us some warm blankets, which made us feel extra comfortable sitting outside. This place is a hidden gem and I would definitely come back to impress my colleagues, friends and family.

10/10We had the pleasure of eating here twice while in Lisbon. The fish quality was outstanding (the best squid I have ever had), as was the service and river views.

5.5/10The fish just wasn’t that good, disappointing, even if it was cheap it would be. They use nice fish but honestly, in my opinion and the opinion of the people I was with, it was bland and not well made.

5.5/10A disappointing experience for high level of expectation that we know from the original Monte Mar. Service is friendly and efficient. Although was quite empty so I believe can be more challenging with full house. The main disappointment was the sea bass we ve ordered, not fresh as mandatory for this level and poorly cooked (almost looked like a boiled fish and not grilled). Deserts .. Apple strudel with mainly raisins was a bit of disappointment. Price /quality is really disastrous

10/10+1Today was the last evening of our trip and we enjoyed it very much. The view was so nice and the Sangria too! It tasted like fully self-made from scratch not the one from the bottle. The seafood tasted fresh and I especially loved the warm shrimp with salt! You can really taste the freshness! It was simple but so good! The clam too especially the seasoning! I also loved the octopus it was tender and juicy and well seasoned! All in all it was the perfect ending of our journey and hope to visit sometime in the future!

5/10We wanted to splurge and go to a excellent seafood restaurant on our last night in Lisbon; unfortunately, besides the water view at sunset, this restaurant was a complete disappointment (and expensive)--all of the other restaurants we went to, most of which were neighborhood restaurants, were superior. With the exception of the fish soup as a first course (which was decent, although not the best I had during this visit); everything else was subpar. The Dorade was mediocre at best,edible but nothing special;no evidence tastewise that it had been grilled; the fish at virtually every other restaurant we visited was better; the vegetables (which were an extra charge) were swimming in oil. The potatoes that came with the fish were barely acceptable. The desert, a traditional Portuguese desert, was gritty and overly sweet. The service was equally lacking; long wait before anyone coming for our drink order; the water we ordered never arrived; non-attentive. Expensive ($180 for two) as well; a poor value.
