We were very excited when our taxi driver said this was an excellent traditional restaurant. The ambiance, service, and food was all excellent. The rabbit was wonderful but don’t skip the pastas!

We came back a second time during our short vacation, since we were so impressed on our first visit. We were not disappointed! We were welcomed back by the amazing staff and made to feel at home! Although the restaurant was full, you wouldn’t have known it thanks to the great attention and professionalism paid to each guest by the wonderful crew. We ordered the famous Ischian rabbit and it was finger-licking delicious! We highly recommend Montecorvo and it will always remain a true highlight of our visit to Ischia!

The restaurant is in a beautiful location. Food was good but honestly can’t remember what I ate. So not memorable. The one thing I found upsetting was the $30 euro service charge added to our bill. In was in addition to the Coperto . We were only a group of 4. Tourist grab. So left a bad impression for me.

Perfect quality ingredients cooked perfectly and presented unpretentiously! Great service, quiet and cozy atmosphere, and... Live piano music! Just amazing!

The setting was spectafular while being hard to reach. We found the good unfortunately to be salty. Sometkmes a cgef can get over-zealous with salt. That said we enjoyed our meal & the evening.

Everything about the place was magnificent. The view, the piano player, the food, and the service was absolutely top notch. We're only here for 4 nights but we plan to go back our last night here. We highly recommend this place

The setting is absolutely beautiful- surrounded by trees & greenery that make you feel you are within a secret garden. Our table was in a small “pocket” amongst the trees, as are quite a few tables, then others are arranged in a more traditional way. Having had a lot of pasta prior, we selected the fillet in peppercorn sauce - I would honestly say this is the best steak I’ve had & cooked to perfection! The traditionally cooked cheesecake was also amazing! We went as a family of 4 & would come here again.

We found Ristorante Montecorvo on YouTube in preparation for our break in Ischia. We were drawn to the rustic, local feel to the restaurant and decided we had to make a visit so we booked online - easily. When we arrived we were greeted as if we were royalty. We were led to the most amazing table with a view of the sunset from our mountainside seat. Absolutely breathtaking. The restaurant had bee n in contact with us via WhatsApp and we had indicated we would be ordering rabbit (for two) - I assume this was in part so as not to destroy a rabbit simply for consumerism and secondly that it takes time to slow cook this amazing meal. Whatever the reason it was simply incredible. We got our waiter to recommend dessert and it was stunning. I don't remember ever an experience at a restaurant like this. From the quality of service, food and ambience (incl live piano and the smell of burning wood! All in all, perfect.

Nice view and embience but the food was not good. Very expensive for the quality. They suggested me a gluten free pasta with asparagus, which was a complete desaster. Theere were 3 small pieces of asparagus and almost no sauce. I would better cook a pasta myself at home. My boyfriend ordered a steak which was also very basic. We only liked focaccia a lot and that’s it.

The setting was gorgeous at sunset, and the rustic interior was exactly what we wanted. The dough bread and ricotta-stuffed zucchini flower was excellent. The wild boar fettucine ragu out of this world. And, of course, we had to go for the traditional Ischia rabbit in wood-fired oven (for two) - incredibly tasty off the bone, and cooked in white wine to boot! Staff were helpful, friendly and prompt. I would hope to holiday again in Ischia and return to this lovely restaurant at the top of the hills around Forio.

We had a great dinner at Montecorvo. The antipasto was varied and sophisticated, and the stracotto of meat on a bed of purée was full of flavor. For dessert, we had a delicious filo pastry with Chantilly cream and forest fruits. Everything was paired with an excellent local wine. The atmosphere was beautiful, surrounded by greenery that the owners take care of like a botanical garden. The waiters were very kind and attentive.

Amazing food, wonderful service and impeccable ambiance. The view from the restaurant is unmatched, we watched the sunset from our table. The service was friendly and unobtrusive, our wine glasses never emptied and our food was brought out with perfect timing. Thank you so much for a gorgeous evening, we'll definitely back!

Fabulous rabbit. One of our best meals ever in Italy after visiting here for over 50 years. Out of the way but definitely worth the trip. If you want the rabbit, be sure to order it ahead of time when you make a booking.

One of my favorite restaurants ever, which is high praise as I’m very into dining out and traveling for food. The people were fantastic and made us feel like old friends. The food was absolutely outstanding. Everything we had. From the rosemary bread to the rabbit.

The restaurant is in a lovely location overlooking the bay and we had a great table that enabled us to appreciate the view properly. We walked up from our hotel and it was pretty steep in parts, but worth it when we arrived. Staff were cheery and we enjoyed our starter and main course food choices - my husband also really enjoyed his rum baba dessert. One small disappointment was my dessert - described as cheesecake but actually a small pastry tart with some fruit on top, so I think better description would be helpful. All in all, a very pleasant evening.

Beautifully nested in the hills behind Forio, surrounded with olive trees and grape vines, the views are stunning and the place boast charm. We ate there 3 times during our 6 days stay on ischia - the food was good but not great, but the ambiance made up for it and it was a short walk away from our hotel. 2 young fellows tended the tables; one super friendly and genuine, the other- the waiter- was a tad stand-offish. This took away from the charm of the place

It’s a bit of a trek to get here. We thankfully had a local driver to navigate the winding one lane road but extremely worth it. The ambiance is so romantic. The restaurant had a live piano player as we sat on the garden terrace with a view of the sea. The food was amazing. I tried the famous Ischian rabbit. It did not disappoint. It takes 45 mins to make and serves 2 people. The staff was very friendly and made a great wine recommendation. I would definitely go back. One of my favorite meals so far.

I could not recommend this restaurant enough. Every course was an amazing experience. The setting was wonderful and the views were also amazing. If you ever visit this island you have to visit this restaurant!

The food was excellent, we choosed fish dishes and the fish was very fresh. The staff is very nice and the location is quiet and nice. The balance quality/price is absolutely fare!

This was my biggest dissapointment ever. We had such high expectations because of the Good reviews. First of all the welcome was not pleasant. Second, the main dish came while we where still eating our starter. Also, there was meat in my starter which i did not know about. Since i’m vegetarian, i dont eat meat. When i told the staff that there was meat in my starter and i did not want to eat it because i’m vegetarian, they did NOTHING. They just walked away. When the bill came, i was charged for the starter i did not take one bite of. The owner became very rude when i told him i did not want to pay for it. He told us he can not like everyone and told us to pay and leave A bad review. He literally told us, go leave A bad review. Also, we were charged 10€ service fee for the most terrible service ever. I DO NOT recommand this place. It’s Terrible service will destroy your whole night.

Incredible coniglio! I was so wary to try rabbit, but it was one of the best dishes I have ever tried in my life. We also got to personally thank the chef who came out to see if we enjoyed his preparation. Apparently, he specialized in preparing this type of meat, and it was unbelievable. I will certainly come back here just to have the rabbit!

We were thrilled to discover this restaurant! The staff was very welcoming and friendly throughout our whole visit. We watched the sunset while sharing the traditional rabbit meal. Very special experience! Would love to visit this restaurant again - good wine recommendations too!
