10/10My wife and I popped in here because it was close to our hotel after a long day’s travel by train from Lyon, France. Everybody was just as sweet as they could be, and the Roman food was cheap, good and plentiful.

Food was outstanding. Might suggest that the interior lighting should be turned down a bit to create a more warm environment and maybe turn off the TV or have better dinner music. We will be back for the food and the service which were both excellent!

10/10This was one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had in Italy so far. The atmosphere was cozy inside and very romantic outside. We ate there two times. The first time we had the lasagna and it was by far the best I’ve ever had my husband had the carbonara and it was very good. The second time he had the gnocchi and was very good as well. I had the pepper beef, not so good. We also had the bruschetta with mozzarella and it was outstanding. Over all the food was great especially the lasagna, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and romantic. You won’t be disappointed just don’t get the beef. And it was half the price of all the restaurants closer to piazza novena.

10/10Go here! Where to start - in the bustling city center, Montevecchio is in a peaceful piazza more or less by itself. Warm welcoming service, fantastic food with a deep menu. Ate here multiple times and never a bad meal. The appetizers, the friti, the primi and secondi all are fantastic. You cannot go wrong by eating here.

10/10The restaurant is small so it makes for an intimate dinner. The service was great, and food tasted amazing. It was one of my favorite dinner's we had while in Italy. Do try the limencello after dinner!

4.5/10This is a small restaurant tucked away off the Piazza Navona. Seating is insided as well as outside in a small courtyard and a small inner space. Service is from the proprietor and 1 other server and was satisfactory. The food was of fair quality and generally typical Roman—not outstanding but passable. The rendition of spaghetti carbonara was what a workman would expect, hence the derivation of the dish. The fritto misto was overcooked and not particularly generous. The highlight of the meal was the artichokes. I have been to this restaurant many times over many years, but it has not maintained its quality and would not return

4.5/10Quiet small corner close to Piazza Navona. Average food, not bad, but nothing really attractive or surprising or top quality, nice and kind but non-professional service. The place deserves more and could go up several steps with little effort and a little love for the restaurant business and a few drops of professional dedication without needing to skyrocket prices.

2.5/10This restaurant is NOT what it used to be. Obviously, it's changed owners and everything is different, from the kitsch decor to the truly inedible food. They get a better rating for service because when we sent back our meal uneaten, they refunded half the bill. This placed used to be a real find. Now it's to be avoided.

10/10Beautifully made rissotto and osso bucco, step away from Santa Maria della Pace, this is a lovely little hideaway with a great menu, AND: no crowds! Montevechio is off the main pedestrian streets so it is quiet and peaceful. Well worth it.

10/10The cutest little restaurant with the perfect setting. Tucked away from the busy streets this was the perfect location to end our vacation. The food was AMAZING! The BEST carbanara I've ever had, and the service was great. We will for sure find our way back here someday!

10/10This is the second time I have eaten here and it was better than I remembered. The pepper steak was fantastic and the pasta was very good as well. This is on a quiet street away from the crowds and was a nice change of pace. If you like red wine, I highly recommend the Marchioli Titus.
