We drove from Lisbon just to go to the restaurant. We had a very nice experience. Yet we found room for improvement in the food as that came to the table a bit cold. Maybe we'll get it hotter next time

The food was outstanding, the best piglet I had in my life (better than the ones in the famous Mealhada). Service is great! The environment is chic, but don't expect the perfect vibe (vast space). My favorite piglet restaurant from now on, will come back.

The suckling pig was so delicious and it's freshly made and cut in front of you. It's one of the best Leitao we ever had. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It's overall an amazing dinner!

This was our first time at Leitao and we did not know what to expect although the reviews have been favorable. There was plenty of off street parking and the entrance was inviting with a cool fish tank upfront. Our waiter Antonio spoke great English and was just great. All the food was prepared really well. Timing of the service was perfect and all the staff was helpful. Grilled bass and pig were super as well as the lamb chops. The dessert was great! Highly recommend for dinner!

At reception, by giving my name, without any check, the lady immediately knew we had a reservation for 4 and showed us our table. Leitão of extreem high level : cracklings as I never had them, very tasty meat, not too greasy - bright risotto, could be a tick warmer - staff extremely professional & helpful. Great lunch. The main remark was : here we come back & try other dishes !!

This was my first time at Mosteiro do Leitão and I must say, it was a win! The food was really good! The piglet was perfect, crispy and full of flavour, the sauce was also amazing! Home cooked chips and olives! To drink I've chosen "Muralhas", a really good Portuguese green wine! An amazing place to go with your family, the staff was also really nice and always trying to help! Will come back for sure! Portuguese food is for me, one of the best in the world!

The first welcome was not really warmhearted. Allthough we booked via thefork.com, our reservation was not in the book and the girl who welcomed us looked rather grumpy and puzzled before she took us to a table. In the huge room with still a large number of free tables, she took us to one next to two adults with a noisy todler. (Nothing against them because I had three of my own, but they behaved when I took them out) it turned out that a number of tables was not even reserved that night so we did not get why we could not choose our own table. The lady who served us made up for her colleague as she was friendly and helpful and spoke English. The food is really good even if we did not order the dish that makes the reputation of the restaurant, the piglet meat dish. It als seemed very tasty too! We ordered fish and both dishes were really well prepared and very tasteful. This place probably gets very noisy when it's really crowded but if you don't mind that, don't hesitate to go !
