Unfortunately not the greatest experience. Service basically non-existent. Steaks served on cold plates (plates have to be hot with such items on) - sides cold / max lukewarm and no beverage service provided at all. Quite a pity for such a highly rated restaurant. Ambience is ok but rather suitable for bigger groups or families.

Spacious, and good natural lighting. Unfortunately the overall experience was not good. 7 people in a group for dinner, 6 ate beef, and 2 of those 6 beefeaters or 33% experienced stomach illness after dinner. The after dinner experience put a damper on the event and not sure I can return for other group dinners.

Very nice restaurant and staff. Family of 4 well fed and watered. It Would be nice to have a wider selection/ choice of sides to go with the meat dishes. My order was very tasty, but a little over my requested cook. On a personal note, I’d prefer a full fillet rather than the medallions I was given when ordering the fillet mignon. However, these are small issues and I wouldn’t hesitate to return next time we’re in Amsterdam.

Been to Mr Meat more than four times over the course of going to Amsterdam for years. Absolutely top, top steak. Service and ambience is always great! Will keep coming back for years to come whenever I am in Amsterdam :)

Exceptional Food & Wonderful Team! This is, without a doubt, the best steak restaurant in Amsterdam! From the warm welcome to the last bite, everything was outstanding. We started with the warm smoked beef platter, perfectly topped with melted cheddar and parmesan—an absolute treat. But the true highlight was the Shato 400g—incredibly tender, served in a rich butter sauce with crispy fried bread. Divine! The fries, fresh salads, and homemade mayonnaise were just as impressive. And the Lokum burger—juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. A must-visit! Highly recommended!

Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted with a spacious and beautifully decorated interior. The impressive display of aged meat and various cuts in the cooler immediately catches your eye. I ordered the 400-gram ribeye, and it was absolutely delicious – incredibly tender and full of flavor. The service team provided exceptional care, ensuring that our dining experience was truly memorable.

We had mixed feelings about the restaurant. Although the quality of the dishes we chose was good, the portioning made little sense to us. We ordered salads as starters but they turned out to be large as mains. For the main dishes the menu showed size information so we could choose a dish that we could manage size-wise. Obviously we only had a small selection of the choice on the menu, but we couldn't help feeling the prices were quite steep.

Meat (porterhouse) was good. I would personally cook it even less. So I should have asked “bleu” and not “rare”. The real problem was the wine. One of the worst Zinfandel I ever drank though the bottle costed about 50€. Quite a mystery there.

The Portuguese girl was the best waitress in the restaurant’ she was very caring, really attended and also very friendly and jolly’ !! The portions are very small and the side dishes also very tiny.. But nice atmosphere and the quality of meat was excellent! ????

Such a gem of a restaurant, was the food highlight of our amsterdam trip. Excellent food and service. The steaks are incredible, would highly recommend.
