We have dined at Napoleone every year for the last five years….sometimes twice! Always great. Unfortunately this experience was not what we are used to. The tomato bruschetta was pretty tasteless and was not prepared with cherry tomatoes as the menu suggested. The spaghetti with clams was well prepared with plenty of clams. But the tagliata with roasted potatoes was delivered with almost cold potatoes and hardly warm steak. We won’t be dining here a second time this year but look forward to a better experience when we return to the Oltrarno next year.

Average food, mediocre service, white wine should really be kept in a cooler when it’s +32C outside, nothing to write home about.

Cute restaurant just over the bridge from the centre. Lots of different dining areas. Food was good but not the best we’ve had. Service was excellent though.

It was medium quality food, nothing special. The very young and inexperienced waiters did the best they could, but just not enough to impact evaluation. The restaurant is however beautiful, beautifully decorated and the staff very welcoming.

Good choice of authentic Italian food combined with good service. Place was tucked away off main tourist routes but it had a stay stream of people and was busy all evening so recommend booking! Very reasonable price. We were recommended it by friends and glad we went!

Wonderful meal and very nice service by he sea bass was exceptional and so was the spaghetti with shrimp, zucchini and zucchini flowers (best parts dish I’ve had in a long time). Prices are reasonable and restaurant is outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Nice mix of locals and tourist. Definitely recommended.

The food was really fresh and the taste was authentic. Please order the house wine as it is extremely good. We ordered 4 pastas and all of them had a unique taste. Really happy we could try this authentic place in Florence

Very pretty inside - lovely meal with friends. Was quite busy so service was a little slower at times but didn’t effect our evening. Shame we didn’t get to try the tiramisu.

Super charming or romantic, good for both vibes! The setting was like being in a medieval castle with various seating arrangements, all lovely! Food was excellent and fresh, service friendly and not too expensive! A beautiful place; I will be going back again!

We went to this restaurant with very high expectations. Unfortunately, I must say that I was disappointed. The reception was overly cold, nothing like other restaurants in Italy. The food didn't meet our expectations at all. The pancetta in the carbonara was uncooked, the gnocchi was tasteless, the dishes were unfinished, and nobody asked what was wrong with them. A real letdown.

We have visited the Oltrarno for extended visits for the last three years. We alway make a point to dine ar Napoleone at least once. In 2022 we had a party of nine family members that was expertly handled including three children. We returned a week later with friends. We are always welcomed, the food is wonderful and we leave knowing we will return.

Went with friends... the food and the ambiance were awesome! Had the chef recommended pasta and the shrimp risotto both were amazing. The staff was great. Had a bad rain storm and water came onto the restaurant floor, and the staff quickly tried to mop it up. They were apologetic for nature.. couldn't have been nicer. Definitely would go back!

Have come here many times but this latest time I had the worst service I’ve ever gotten. Took an hour to even get our wine. 20 minutes after placing our order the server came back saying he had forgotten our order. 1,5h after sitting down I was given the wrong food and they tried to make me pay for the more expensive meal that I did not order. The waitress that sat us was very helpful and apologetic, she is the only person that made the experience less bad. Food is still good, but the service left a bad taste in my mouth…

We really enjoyed the food!! The truffle specials did not disappoint! Such a gem in an area worth walking too! We will be back as value for dollar is undeniable.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience last night in this restaurant; the food was excellent, the atmosphere great but we have to highlight the attentiveness and quality of the staff.

We have dined here also in 2022 twice during our one month stay in Oltrarno. Once with an extended family group of ten….the staff and restaurant easily handled our party! Another visit with two friends was equally wonderful. This visit was just the two of us and we were never rushed and the meals were perfectly prepared. Highly recommend!!

Napoleone is a great spot. The staff are very nice and the food is fantastic, I really love the gnocchi with gorgonzola and truffles. Even the bread they bring out is better than the average Florentine restaurant!

Very nice place, recommended by our children. Antipasti with truffle omelette- superb, and then, sirloin and gnocchi, both with a lot of truffle and cheese were so good! We had a romantic evening, with candles lights. Very friendly and prompt personnel.

This restaurant was amazing! We have been in Italy for 2 weeks and this has been our favourite dinner thus far! The Napoleone- Style beef tenderloin is to die for, along with theNapoleone- Style spaghetti with shrimp! To finish off our amazing dinner we had the cheese cake which tasted delicious and was very light. Overall a very rich meal full of amazing flavours we all enjoyed.

Food was very good quality, fresh & nicely presented. Mussels were delicious! We were seated outside and after we ate went to look at the inside and while it was very comfortable outside, think I would have liked the ambience inside better.

Pasta was excellent. Tomatoes in the caprese salad were a bit tough and tasteless. Service was friendly, but slow.
