7.5/10I wasn’t overly impressed with the meal itself, the edamame’s were overcooked, the mixed sashimi wasn’t worth the cost, I received 3 pieces of tuna belly which were unchewable, essentially, if the fish isn't aged enough, the fat won't break down and the sinew will remain tough, making the sashimi difficult to chew. The steak “beef sirloin” was poor quality. Service was good considering the waitress was the only person serving.

9/10Amazing sushi. We also tried the risotto and it was tasteless and the pasta also not great. But if you go for the sushi it might be one of the best sushi places

7.5/10Niu is an Asian restaurant (Japanese) trying to offer the best of both worlds. We enjoyed the sushimi mix, freshly made at the counter. The main course, however, wasn’t top. The filetto was small, cold and topped with a black liquid that didn’t make it look very tasty. Desserts were ok again. The interior is very clean, but looks cold due to the use of white marble. The service was friendly, the bill very affordable thanks to the discount via The Fork genius.

10/10Very interesting fusion place. Core is Japanese cuisine, but there are also other elements fused into it. WInes are nice, though not the cheapets ones ;-) ;-( all dishes we had were exquisite. It is a good thing that we had 2000 YUMS and exchanged it for 50 EUR and they accept YUMS ;-) this money helped, but it was, overall, definitely worth it!

10/10+1Went there with wife after a day trip around Bologna. A relaxing place with a very chill ambience. Food quality is top notch with some fusion dishes. Great service all through. Provision of English menu would be perfect.

8.5/10With the 50% discount the experience is absolutely worth it. There weren't many customers although it was a saturday therefore the place was quiet and the music was enjoyable. The service was simply lovely.

10/10great place, modern, top quality fish, great, I will recommend it! the japanese part of the dinner was wow, the risotto and pasta were correct. at the bus stop we got fried small fish which was amazing

8/10NIU is very good but suffers from being out of the main pedestrian traffic area and therefore has empty tables. The food was excellent, although I would have liked more mixing of Italian and Japanese dishes, thus it was a bit limited. The 50% discount on food was great and made for an affordable, high-protein meal.

9.5/10As others have said NIU is slightly further out than most restaurants, so the point we nearly started to doubt ourselves on the walk there! Worth the effort though, well made tasty and fantastically presented food with good service. We did get there early(ish) so there was only one other cover at the time so the ambiance was slightly lacking but I'm sure it'd be better for meals had later on in the evening.

8.5/10It was fantastic because of the -50% offer . Quality was awesome , staff very friendly and ambience was amazing . However tbh I just went there because of the big discount but I’d never go there if I have to pay the full prices . I hope they’ll lower the prices in the future in case they drop the discount . So far so good

9.5/10Great food, beautifully presented. We would happily return. The restaurant is situated in a quiet area about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Bologna but don't be put off by the location.

8/10NIU's location is rather off the Bologna city center but the quality of the restaurant is definitely worth the walk! The cuisine is an interesting and stimulating blend of Japanese and Italian tradition and offers innovative food experiences. The service is very attentive and the setting is rather modern and in line with the culinary experience. Prices are on the high side but somehow counterbalanced by The Fork's discount.

10/10Beautiful, modern Restaurant. Nice interior, great food. Amazing and nice service. We liked everything. Loved the menu choices. Fish was fresh. The location is a little bit weird but the restaurant was nice and I m happy that I saw it on Instagram.

9.5/10Initially, I chose this restaurant due to its proximity to my hotel (10 minutes walk) and the intriguing wasabi pasta dish. After our meal,.my husband exclaimed, "This is the best meal ever in Tuscany!" (We've been to Florence and Siena for the past 5 days.) I loved the dragon roll (the tempura prawns in the roll was crispy and tasty). Wasabi linguine (with a hint of chili flakes), and charcoal flavored filled.
