3.5/10The place was crowded, and our food took almost fifty minutes to serve. They also didn't bring bread during the initial wait; we waited nearly half an hour before finally asking for it. One of the veal dishes was particularly unappetizing, and we left almost the entire uneaten.

10/10We visited Nonno Melo a second time based on the excellent experience last visit. This time we were treated almost as a part of the family, very friendly, the staff immediately recognized us. Food and service was again excellent.. really a very nice experience.. unforettable as the first time.. nice italian music in the background..

10/10Super food.. we had truffles pizza, Spaghetti and veal saltimbocca.. much better than in other more expensive restaurants we visited.. excellent background music.. real italian.. super friendly personnel.. authentic.. even if it doesn’t look from the outside… only to be recommend.. unforgettable

2.5/10For the past 10 years, I have eaten at this restaurant when I was in Rome- it was recommended by a local. The owner ran the place, it had a small but amazing menu with great food and was just everything you want from an authentic local restaurant. The owner has now retired and the new owners have turned it into a tourist trap with lots of menu items, large portions with nothing being particularly good. It has turned into one of the worse places I have eaten in Italy and I would not go back. It was a sad that the pasta I ate at the airport was better! I do not recommend this place.

9/10This restaurant was literally round the corner from our hotel and since it poured with rain for two days solid we were grateful that it was good. Some of the dishes could be made gluten free which my partner appreciated. I loved the delicious pizza Bianca. Special shoutout to Noor who ensured that my partner’s birthday was not forgotten - and to all the staff who were very kind and thoughtful.

10/10The best experience in a perfect location. We had a late reservation and they still welcomed us in before the kitchen closed. The food was incredible, we felt right at home, and the staff treated us better than anywhere else in the city. Truly unforgettable. Thank you to Simone, Zane, and Giadorno! You made our night.

10/10Fantastico. The chicken breast secondi piatti was phenomenal as well as the roasted lamb chops. The insalata amare was yummy and so fresh. A delightful time and the staff were very kind. Love the art work, too. Very authentic and traditional restaurant with solid familia connections.

10/10A beautiful setting, easy online booking, a friendly and warm welcome. Rapid accurate service, food was perfectly made, well presented, and tasted as good as it looked. Attentive service throughout, despite being almost fully booked. The decor is unique and amusing, showing images of celebrity diners. Fun guessing the identities! Very glad we chose to dine here.

5.5/10Staff were super friendly but not very attentive. It took 45 minutes to receive our starters, and I had to ask/prompt for our drinks when we received our mains. Mains were beautiful - delicious and rich but not overpowering. Starters were underwhelming and watery. Staff were lovely, apologetic for any delays and super helpful when we asked for something.

3.5/10Unfortunately this is the definition of a tourist trap. I am sure this was a great Italian restaurant before it was completely overhauled with the new AI-theme. I am not sure if there are new owners or if it’s still the same, but the whole thing felt fake, and the food was very so-so. Pasta carbonara was very wet and bitter, and the saltimbocca had a strange smell as if the meat had gone bad. The cicoria smelled and tasted like harsh fish oil. Would not recommend people to go here for the food. The staff was very welcoming and nice.

10/10The moment we walked in, we felt nothing but welcomed. Our server was amazing, good humor, joked with us, and just a good person who seemed to enjoy life. The food was delicious! Sadly, though, we couldn't bring Nonno Melo back home to the US with us and now we are positively ruined for calamari. There's was the most incredible we've ever had. Tasty, not rubbery at all, and delicious with no sauce needed. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious dinner with great service in Rome.

The best dinner I had in Rome. The staff were incredibly welcoming, prosecco was outstanding, and the seafood pasta was simply beyond praise. My friend had lasagna and was absolutely delighted. The atmosphere was elegant and music perfectly matched the vibe. Tiramis was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted... Just wow! I will definitely come back next time I’m in town. Grazie!

4.5/10Starters were good and the single choice of wine was fine. Mains and sides were disappointing. Chicken significantly overcooked. Sides were verging on the inedible. Chicory side in particular was a challenge. Room for improvement!

2/10TO AVOID! No alcohol in the Spritz, lasagna without béchamel, awful lamb chop, and 3 ravioli for €14. Tourist trap, don’t go.
