10/10Incredible service and experience. We got the 5 course tasting menu with matching wine pairings. It was so different than the traditional meals we had in Florence- and really stood out. Every course was like a piece of art. You can tell they really take pride in the food they prepare and every detail is really thought out and executed so well. Overall our favorite meal we had on our trip!

10/10We spent several weeks in Italy and this was by far the best food and dining experience that we had. It was amazing, perhaps the best meal of my life. The service was fantastic and the food was so inventive and excellent that we were sad it was over. Highly, highly recommend it.

10/10The food here was delicious with a creative presentation. I loved the sea bass ceviche! Staff was friendly and helpful. I would have eaten here again during our short stay if I could have.

6.5/10Ambiance and setting attractive. Friendly, attentive staff. However the food is not good. Amuse bouche consisting of lean was cold and clearly not prepared immediately. I ordered the 65 degree egg starter. It consisted of a huge bowl of gloopy slimy foam, lumps of too large red onion and egg. It was not appetising at all, I couldn’t eat it. The accompanying bread and side dish were tasty. I had risotto as a a main course. Again a huge portion, far too much butter was used in the cooking process and was the dominant flavour. I really did not like it and could not eat it. It was horrible. This was an expensive mistake. Are they riding on the wave of Stanley Tucci’s recommendation? I did not realise he had recommended this restaurant until I searched reviews after I left the restaurant. I really am disappointed in the Michelin guide for this recommendation, it is undeserved. I had several delicious meals in Florence at restaurants such as Cucina, Cuculia and Il Santo Benitore which were authentic casual fine dining venues. Apart from the kind and friendly staff, I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

9/10Excellent experience. The ambience, the service & the food were all top notch. We chose to order a La carte since we wanted to try different dishes which wasn’t possible in the tasting menu( both of us would have to eat the same dishes) & therefore landed up ordering too much food, some of which despite our best efforts we had to waste 🥲. Not good. The service was excellent which to us makes all the difference. Overall great meal. Our only recommendation would be to have a little flexibility on the fixed tasting menu selection. Will definitely recommend Nugolo!

10/10We loved everything about Nugolo. The restaurant has been designed stylishly but feels comfortable. Despite being really busy, we could hear each other easily, which is not always the case in restaurants. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff were professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

10/10Open kitchen so you can watch the young chefs prepare your food which is packed with flavour and excellent. The wine was lovely. Our waitress couldn’t have been more helpful. We will go again!

10/10Exceptional restaurant. Fresh & modern, lovely to see the open kitchen. The staff were fantastic, friendly & helpful and the food was lovely. My personal favourite was the Terrine of suckling pig with panzanella and gazpacho- just fabulous!

9.5/10We thought this was excellent value for money. Dishes are substantial with super quality local and seasonal ingredients. Service was great and very friendly. We had a view of the team in the kitchen, they were cool calm and collected in producing great dishes. We could take our own wine for a photo opportunity of a friend’s great wine in a special location.

10/10Great service and a distinctive atmosphere. We were seated in front of the kitchen so had a great view of the calm but very professional staff who took great care and pride in the presentation of everything. Our meals were excellent and good value for the money. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

9.5/10We had a five course tasting menu and all the dishes were excellent beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The staff were knowledgeable and very attentive. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and a twist on the traditional Tuscan cuisine.

10/10We enjoyed a very good meal at Nugolo. We chose to eat from the ala carte menu, but the chef's menu looked very good. The staff helped us to choose a couple of nice, local wines. We enjoyed pasta, risotto and fish plates. All were very good.

9/10Stopped by Nugolo last night and the experience was excellent. We went for the five course tasting menu, which was great. Highlights for us we're the celeriac, truffle spaghetti, and chicken with 'creme caramel' patê. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Gave great background detail on the Nebbiolo we ordered. Highly recommend.

10/10We had an amazing evening at Nugolo. We had the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was as delicious and unique as it was beautiful. The service was impeccable with special attention from their wonderful sommelier. I can’t recommend Nugolo enough - 5+++ stars!

10/10Amazingly unique, creative dishes. The watermelon/beef carpaccio was one of the most wildly delicious things I've ever tasted. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Great aesthetic to the restaurant. My girlfriend and I loved the open-air kitchen look too.

10/10We enjoyed a truly wonderful meal this evening. We had the tasting menu with paired wines which was just ???????? The food is inventive, beautifully presented and delicious and the paired wines only added to the experience. Thank you - I only wish Nugolo was closer to home!

10/10Nugolo was the best restaurant we ate at during 2 weeks of eating out in good restaurants all over Tuscany. While the food was top class it was a combination of excellent service and great ambience that made it a memorable experience. And the menu worked really well for my vegetarian wife.

10/10We had read so many reviews about Nugolo, and we had to visit. We asked to be seated where we could watch the kitchen and chef. It was quite a show, and what was plated up before us was pure art. We chose the tasting menu paired with wines, and this allowed us to have a little of everything. Excellent wines and creative dishes. All courses were exceptional. The fettuccini with truffle was superb, but all courses were unique and delicious. This was our best meal in a 6 day visit to Florence.

10/10Utterly sublime. The downside of Nugolo featuring in Stanley Tucci’s series on Italian food is that it is no longer a well-kept secret and is being over-run by Americans. Based on our experience, however, this is no more than they deserve; from being greeted at the door to (reluctantly) bidding farewell to our superb waiting staff, the whole experience was excellent. The food is fantastic. We had the 5 course pescatarian tasting menu with the accompanying wine flight and the whole meal was just brilliant from start to finish. The only, mildly, disappointing thing was the amuse bouche but to criticise these delightful preparations would be picky in the extreme (I felt they were slightly bland). The flavour combinations were great, textures fantastic and the supporting cast of wines tremendous. Faultless. The service was so lovely - each of the personable young ladies who waited on was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and attentive - and greatly contributed to the overall experience. Fantastic. Thank you, Nugolo.

8/10I wish the food was a tad better and brought out quicker. The sea urchin pasta was outstanding, the tartar good and the ravioli was lacking in taste and served almost cold. Additionally, the back of the restaurant smelled like sewage when we visited. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but sadly, no.
