I got the sea bass. Wasn’t great to be honest. Very bland and the worst fish I have ever had in Portugal. However my husband got the lamb and loved it.

The atmosphere with crowds of people and fantastic Fado performances was amazing. The staff were attentive and fun, making great cocktails and providing lovely service. Our food was hit and miss with a nice olive/dip with bread, but we only enjoyed one of the two main courses. We had the grilled octopus which was lovely, but the baked cod with cream was bland and dense. It felt like a lot of filler but it was served with a nice fresh salad.

I would have preffered more options on the menu. Sometimes it was hard to get the attension of the waitors.

The food was what we actually expected. Salty, unimaginative and over priced. The mashed sweet potatoes were terrible. It was like eating baby food. It would have been much better left in chunks / slices. The service was very good. For a Fado night, we would have expected better dressed entertainers / staff. The Fado was also not very good. Regardless, it was a family outing and that was good enough for us. Oh, the Sangria was very good!

I think you should have the option to choose between fish and meat . I like surprises but I they should have 2 options to choose from . For me the best was dessert . They should have music to better atmosphere. Our waiter explained everything perfect . I loved that the chef at the end of our meal came to our table . You don’t see that happen in many restaurants

We had a great time. I was a bit concerned because of the mixed reviews but our experience was great. We went on a Monday night for Fado, we were able to have a really nice meal and enjoy multiple Fado artists perform starting from 20:30. It’s a bit more expensive than most restaurants in Faro but in our opinion it was worth it. Service was pretty quick and the food was good.

We visited O Castelo Restaurante Bar Terraza today for lunch and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Our table was dirty and only cleaned after we asked, and it took around 40 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Service throughout was extremely slow, and we also had to wait a long time just to receive the bill. While the food itself was average, the overall experience left much to be desired.

The sunset was beautiful, nice choice in menu, the staff was delightful. The live music playing in the background enhanced the ambiance! If you are in Faro, check this place out!

Oh, been there already 3 times in the last 4 days. Such an excellent place with very kind people. Everything that we tried was delicious and today we finally heard Fado. So, thanks for that too.

Everything was really nice, the only thing I would improve is the menu, maybe few more choices in variety of the foods you have on the menu.

We had a wonderful meal for my 30th birthday meal. Staff were very friendly and attentive, they made us feel welcome, food was great and wine was lovely. Thank you!

The restaurant had a great location and atmosphere. With good music and drinks for sunset. Service was ok but unfortunately the food was horrendous. We were actually shocked out how bad the food was for what was supposed to be a romantic sunset dinner. Just go for drinks only.

I ordered tuna with onions, and I waited so long, maybe 1.5 hours, that I wanted to leave. And it wasn't even brought by the person who served me. The tuna was cold (only the potatoes were hot), extremely salty and not very tasty. But everything else was great - the atmosphere, the fast waiters, the fado, and the view.

This is worth a visit. A very nice Bacalhau com natas. Good food. Very nice service and combined with Fado music. A very nice experience.
