10/10+3If you want authentic delicious Portuguese cooking, this is the place to go. My family and I enjoyed our dishes of the ample size paella for two which could really feed 4, the grilled veal chops, pork dish and the grilled sardines with potatoes . The bread was delicious and the cod coquette at the beginning of the meal was divine. The salad was fresh and lettuce so crisp. This is a family owned business with personal service. When you come here , you know you are eating where the locals eat.

10/10I had been searching for a restaurant that serves authentic, great tasting, old country style Portuguese food near the Rossio for quite a while. It has been very difficult to find that in Lisbon these days. After googling a few restaurants, I “ fell” upon O Fumeiro. I went on Fork to confirm that TripAdvisor’s reviews. This is a small hidden gem of a restaurant off of a very busy Main Street. The food is absolutely delicious and true to the Portuguese traditional meals. The owner who is also the chef is friendly, professional, and attentive to the customer and what they request. Great service! Big portions, fresh ingredients, and all around wonderful folks who put their heart into every meal they make. This is my new hot spot for real Portuguese meals!

9.5/10The food was great, kids were very happy with their meat. The sardines and seashells were also delicious served with home made potato chips. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. And the wine they picked for me was great and very affordable. A nice place

10/10We throughly enjoyed our meal. So attentive. The clams were the best we ever tasted. We had sea bream and a monk fish and prawns stew. The monkfish okay but the stew/gravy had such a great flavor. The also recommended a red wine from Douro which we loved. High recommend.

10/10The food was good and the price was fair. The best part was the staff, they were really nice and showed what Portuguese people are all about. Thank you for one of the best meals in Lisbon!

7.5/10Felt Understaffed on Christmas night, even though the place was not full. Food was ok, the steak with pepper sauce was the best. The codfish was rather basic. One dish came wrong mainly because they did not bother to write it down, but at least they offer some Porto at the end to apologise. The atmosphere is nice and very traditional. I'm sure on a regular night the experience would be better
