The price is excessive, cheap food, tiny bit of sausage inedible, meat stew (again small portion) chewy and not tasty, almost 40 euros per person for bread and hummus. No salad, barely any meat,

10/10This is the second time we visited O Grego, and the moment that we had the first bite, we remember why we went back. Food, service, ambient is awesome. 5 stars for sure. Great for special ocasion or just to enjoy a little piece of greece food and people in Portugal. *****

7/10Lovely location sweet staff. Had Meze which was ok at first but after few small plates we were expecting large plate of meat, as is traditional in Greek Meze but meal ended disappointingly with very small plate of meat and rice which surprised us all and left us hungry. So whilst some aspects good , overall we were disappointed.

10/10The traditional Greek spread is deliciously prepared and nicely served, and it has a few nice surprises alongside the more usual fare. Also, the family who owns and runs O Grego is really charming, as is the rest of their staff. My family and I look forward to visiting every time we're in the Algarve.

10/10What a great concept - they charge you €38/39 per person and then bring out a variety of foods from tzatziki and hummus to ending with a great lamb dish that was cooked for 5 hours. Great little outside seating area (just wear mosquito spray) Definitely worth trying

Amazing food, everything was delicious. The chef was really nice and kind, always coming to the tables to talk. Really nice experience. The father’s chef was really cute and nice guy, coming to the tables and sharing his life experiences. It was really nice to listen to him.

10/10Sit down, Relax, and your food is picked for you. This is perfect if you want a great mix of different Greek food to try or to enjoy again and again. All the food is lovely. Family-run restaurants make it—very nice garden seating. I recommend trying the Banoffee pie.

10/10First visit after a recommendation and what a find. Staff were excellent food was excellent, no menu a mezze board feast is presented. We couldn't get through all the food and we were a party of 6. Wine listing was great and the generosity of the owner was very welcome. Lovely too to meet Michael (90yrs young) who is Fillipos father. Overall a must visit. The courtyard and setting is also lovely.

10/10When one first enters, the rustic charm of exposed beams and whitewashed walls giving an old world vibe is quite evident. We had the fixed price menu which involves a dozen or more various dishes running the gamut from a tomato and onion salad to rustic pita bread with hummus and to a generous plate of souvlaki. The owner, a charming man, camed to welcome us and to explain that it was easier to serve a myriad sampling of dishes where one could choose what they wanted vs having to explain each item on a standard menu, and it was a guarantee that every diner would find several dishes amongst the many offered that they preferred. We enjoyed everything served and ate some dishes we would never had ordered (out of ignorance). A slice of banoffee pie and a meio de leite rounded out the palate and the meal. The owner brought chilled ouzo as a nightcap and offered us a toast. A wonderful time and meal.

9.5/10Having spent a great deal of my life in Montreal and it's many fine greek restaurants, I was delighted to find out that there was a restaurant nearby serving souvlakis and Greek salads. Only this is not the case at this restaurant. The owner has created a very different menu of Greek "tapas". My wife and I went for the tapas and my son for the souvlaki platter. Although is was different than what I was looking for, it was surprisingly delicious, all of it. The owner, Filipos, sat with us for the end of the meal and we spoke for about 20 minutes about everything from food to travel to family. Wonderful host, you hardly ever see anymore. Will definitely come back.
