7/10A family favourite in the past, disappointed that the service and attention to the customer seems to have waned. Have since been back without booking on the app and it has been similar. Disappointing as the staff were always very attentive. The small details matter - in particular the end of meal port or happy chicken!

10/10Friendly and humorous greeting as we entered the restaurant. Food was fabulous, I went for traditional Portuguese steak, my wife had fish of the day and both of my kids were very happy with their choices. Will definitely visit again before end of our holiday. 10/10We went end of September. On arrival we were shown the beautiful fresh fish they had. They were really proud of this and I'm not surprised, the choice was amazing. Staff were attentive and the food was delicious. Would definitely go back. Top tip - reserve a table as it gets busy.

10/10A favourite place to visit - great value and great food. Look out for the “catch of the day” - it’s always worth considering as your main. Check out the prawn or monk fish kebab. If fish is not your thing then try the chicken kebab. All grilled on charcoal. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

9/10Great local, family owned restaurant. We enjoyed all the food - the fish cataplana and kabobs were so tasty! The staff was so warm & accommodating. Leave the big hotel restaurant & give this place a try!

10/10We were 4 adults and we went twice to this restaurant because the food and service were so good. There was a great menu with lots of fish dishes. The lunch menu was very reasonable and we enjoyed our food there. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They spoke really good English too. The desserts were delicious too.

10/10Every year we return to Alporchinos and O Grelhador is on our list of 'must re-visit' restaurants. Good food and a friendly service is a certainty. Looking forward already to 2024.

5.5/10This was a sad an disappointing experience. The special pork was like shoe leather. The monk fish skewer had over cooked shrimp with flavorless monkfish. The squid was palatable but also suffered from the shrimp. Good wine, decent service. Overall a one time mistake.

9.5/10Almost unnoticeable from the outside, this is an hidden gem. Well deserved #2 ranking in T.A. Extremely friendly staff and excellent tradicional Portuguese cuisine food. Recommend the fish skewers (“espetadas”). Spacious premises. Staff might want to “offer” you “traditional” drinks at the end of the meal.

5.5/10Fantastic venue, friendly staff. Steak in pepper sauce was awful . Tasted like it had been boiled rather than grilled. Waitress did check with chef and they said it was pan fried . Very disappointing as this was a birthday / anniversary meal.

10/10This restaurant is absolute gem of a place, from the ambience, the staff and the food. The Staff are incredibly polite, well mannered and with a can do attitude. Nothing was too much for them and all served with a beaming smile. We were made to feel so welcome; there was no rush, no drama just beautiful tasty food, presented well and with love and care. I can highly recommend a visit here. Thank you to all the staff who made our evening.

6.5/10We went quite early so it was initially quiet, though it soon filled up, obviously a popular restaurant. The waitress came quite quickly to show us the fresh fish of the day, then left us to study the menu until we called.
