10/10We have been coming to O Leão de Porches for very many years. It never disappoints, and the food is of the highest quality. The service is also first class, and the setting both inside and outside is stunning. The restaurant cannot be faulted.

+1We took our Australian friends for our second visit and was a worthwhile visit again. Very nice atmosphere, very friendly staff who speak excellent English and the surprise menu was beautiful presented and very tasty again. If I’ve to criticise something it would be that the dessert was a little bit disappointing. But all in all a very enjoyable evening again. We’ll be back!

5.5/10Outdoor seating is beautiful. And servers were warm and friendly. The bread course was among best we’ve had… however… The food is strange and unappetizing. The fish was served with cold/frozen butter on top and an inedible “polenta” . Duck was chewy and celeriac puree was similarly inedible. Corn soup was poured over popcorn- never heard or seen liquid poured over popcorn before- it just disintegrates and leaves behind the hard kernel. Scallop with risotto was fine - again oddly sweet and risotto was too al dente. Went to 2 other Michelin distinction restaurants in the area and this one left me scratching my head.

10/10The service was, as always, impeccable and the courtyard setting is delightful. The menu is imaginative and varied and we received excellent advice on the wine. A wonderful evening.

9.5/10i feel they have a great ambiance and are truly working very hard to make an evening memorable. in our case they had many people arrive at te same time, limiting the kitchens' ability to provide a timely sequencing of the food. the quality of the food, under these circumstances was noteworthy, the red Mullet risotto outstanding

10/10This place is so worth the drive. Completely different from the beach bars in Albuferia. Truly excellent cuisine from start to finish. In a class by itself. Probably our best meal in all of Portugal.

10/10you should eat here . In a three hundred year old house in porches . exquisite food . excellent 5 course tasting menus . wonderful service . can't visit the Algarve and not eat here. I promise you won't be disappointed

9/10The service was faultless, professional and highly knowledgeable servers. It was a set menu for Christmas which our party of 4 all found somewhat lacking unfortunately. Some good, some not so good courses. Perhaps the regular menu would be worth going back for but definitely not this particular menu. The ambience was lovely but the place was in need of a freshening up.

5.5/10The entire Christmas menu was probably prepared by someone else as if the Michelin star cook is on holiday… nothing taste proper, either it’s over cooked, too salty, or too much vinegar… very disappointed.

7/10This is a really cute old farm house, and the staff was extremely friendly. The wine selection was great too. We were however disappointed with the food. The starters were great (albeit really small), but our mains (fillet steak) were not good. My steak was cold whereas my family's (other 3 orders) were chewy. For that price point I expected much better. They did apologise and took one steak out of the bill, but still disappointing.

8/10Service and location were absolutely outstanding! very nice setting and the people working here were extremely nice and professional! The food was very good, we did the tasting manu and out of 5 dishes 4 were excellent but one, the paccheri with rocket, plums and honey was just very very sweet and couldn't really taste the ingredient but just the honey, way too sweet for our taste. But the other dishes were extremely good especially the picanha! :)

Apos alguma indecisão o pedido foi feito às 21 05 horas. O prato principal depois de comer uma entrada cada um, saiu às 22h10 horas. Vocês pagar a conta às 22 20 horas. Nós achamos que 1h15 min para tirar uma pedido, servir e comer um entrada, comer o prato principal é pagar numa restaurante fine Dining em agosto não está tão lento.. M hè esmo o senhor perguntou um cocktail ‘americano’ que nós não temos na lista e fizemos sem hesitação.
